honestly nothing. i did bump my head on the doorways but thats all Japanese houses haha (I'm only 182 cm or 6'0")

everything was perfect—very peaceful spot with an interesting heritage house. everything you need with nothing your missing! nice little garden to drink your coffee. probably my favourite spot out of the 12 different hotels I stayed at in japan.

The only small thing that we did not like, was that the accommodation did not lock. Thankfully we didn't have any valuables with us and we were a big group, so we weren't afraid (also Japan is very safe).

The place was perfect for our group, we had a lot of space, got to borrow bikes for free, utilised the big kitchen. We loved the atmosphere of the place and all agreed that we would stay here again, it was lovely. The owners were very kind and offered us anything we needed.

For the price I can not complain about anything.

Guesthouse Onoya was a beautifully renovated old Japanese home with a tonne of character and charm. Our family room was very comfortable and all of the facilities extremely clean. The courtyard gardens were also lovely. The house is in a very quiet location, but still within walking distance to shops and restaurants. In addition, Guesthouse Omoya was excellemt value for money. We would happily stay here again.

It was nice that in the dorm room there was only one person per bunk, so you could choose being above or below - a first! The main commons room was very peaceful and pleasant.

If I have to give one thing I didn't like, it would be the location, while not a bad area, it's quite far from any station, so it can be difficult to get around. Hardly an issue with the bicycles available, but something to consider for a one-night stay.

Besides the awesome building, the amazing talks you can have with people and the very appreciated free bicycles and air conditoning. I especially recommend staying here because of the amazing staff. The owner does anything possible to make your stay here comfortable, and he brightens up any room he is in. You should also check out his café in the city center!

The dorm felt a little crammed, I had almost no space for my luggage (one big trekking bag).

Beautiful place, great kitchen and right next to the river. The bikes are very good and helpful!

30 minutes walking from JR Matsuyama station. Only one bathroom for the whole place which is a bit incovenient. The guesthouse has a very hands off management style, so probably it will take some time to get back to you in case of a request. The room was kind of cold we had to leave the AC running for a whole day and assist with a heater to have an bearable temperature in the room.

The lounge is a weird mix of new and old, View to the garden is great, love it. Kitchen is a bit cramped but you have everything you need so ots helpful. Good showers, only two though. Towel included. Managed a late check in because of some delayed I had.

The host appeared and disappeared without a "good ye", it made me feel unwelcome. Other guests switched on the bedroom lights and started playing the piano at 11pm. Also, you kinda need your own transport if you expect to see the downtown
