Excellent host! Kyoko was incredible. Also, there were nice rooms, a delicious breakfast, and an amazing atmosphere. I wish we stayed longer. :)

Even though I told her I don't eat meat or fish she poured fish sauce over the food she gave me and when I told her she said it's just a little bit ... I didn't want to be rude and ate but for someone who is strictly vegetarian or vegan this is a no go and very rude to ignore.

I've stayed in various places in Shikoku over the last 20 years and this is my new favourite. The room was comfortable, spacious, clean, and the host's hospitality made the difference. It's a short drive from Kochi airport and about 30 mins drive to Kochi city. I drove to Matsuyama which took about 4 hours on route 33. Highly recommend.

I can’t think of a thing.

My host was so solicitous and kind. She went shopping and brought me strawberries, then made dinner, which was not part of the deal. Breakfast was superlative. The place was spotless. She had drawn a bath before I arrived. I felt totally pampered after walking nineteen miles of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. She called ahead and booked reservations for me. Truly lovely. While the prior night’s stay was perfect for a single man, this would be ideal for a single woman or a couple. My room had two very comfortable beds. The blinds darkened the room completely. I slept very soundly. Perfect for a pilgrim, or any other person visiting the area. Private. Secure. Comfortable.

We rented a car at Kochi Ryoma Airport. The guesthouse was conveniently located near the airport and the freeway, making it easy to access our destination, Dogo Onsen. Initially, I was concerned about parking, but the guesthouse was on a wide road, which is important to know when renting a car in Japan. It was simple to maneuver in and out of the parking spaces located behind the house. The guesthouse was in the town of Noichi, where we enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants. Additionally, its central location between my two other destinations, Kochi-shi and Aki-shi, meant that I didn't have to drive a lot in one day. Our host, Kyoko-san, was incredibly friendly and kind. Since it was the off-season, she gave the three of us two rooms, which allowed for a comfortable stay. I slept well during our time there. Unfortunately, I lost a hubcap from the rental car—it's a long story. On our departure morning, Kyoko-san went out of her way to prepare breakfast for my son and me. After saying our goodbyes, Kyoko-san called to inform us that my son had left his passport and charger behind. She kindly brought them all the way to the airport for us. Overall, I felt that the guesthouse was truly a home away from home.

Located on a road junction, so can be noisy with traffic noise. May also have some problems getting out of the house with cross road traffic, no traffic lights. A little bit away from city centre so may not be convenient if you are not driving,

The hostess is a lovely, kind lady who looked after us very well. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The hostess kindly organized transportation of my partner's heavy backpack to the next accommodation so she could walk more easily on that leg of our pilgrimage. It was my second stay and I look forward to returning one day.

I loved the hospitality that I received there. The owner of the lodging went above and beyond in making sure that I was comfortable and provided for. Today I left early for my pilgrim walk and did not have breakfast. The lady sent me a message and brought me the food and additional lunch 30 km away. She just did it out of the kindness of her heart. She did not need to do that, but she did. It was also raining yesterday and I did not want to leave the room. she brought me lunch on her own initiative. She is smiley and helpful and kind and the place is super clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this accommodation for anybody.

Super laid back atmosphere. The hostess was so friendly, helpful and gracious, she really made me feel at home and was genuinely interested in where I was from and what I was doing on my trip to Japan. The room was clean and comfortable, and the included breakfast was tasty. Really good value, I highly recommend staying here.
