The welcome in the house. The place is quiet.

The room is too much optimized for numerous people. Then it's less comfortable

The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She helped us navigate rental of bikes, gave us good tips about our bike ride, and helped explain the local experience. The place was clean, spacious and had great location right on the beach. Waking up to the water view was amazing.

It’s a fair way to shop and restaurants if you don’t have a car but the host can call taxi services. You can cook groceries and there is a fridge and tea and coffee services.

The host was so so kind and welcoming! It was clean! Had the most beautiful view of the ocean, and a very cute vibe!

The beds were a little hard and there were some mosquitos but it wasn’t too bad :)

Fantastic, friendly, and helpful host. Good supply of necessities including kitchen supplies, shower stuff, common areas. Power socket and light for each bed. Laundry facilities (for a small fee). The beds have traditional-style pillow and thin mattress. Beautiful view.

Difficult to get there if you don't have a car. The bus only runs a few times per day.

The beauty and the quiet of the area was wonderful after hectic times in Kyōto and Tōkyō. The host was very lively, friendly, and helpful. The tatami room was a nice size and the futons were comfortable. There was air conditioning. Also, we had access to cooking equipment, but only made mocha and microwaved a little food.

The location is simply stunning, the guesthouse sits peacefully on the seafront of tranquil Mukaishima Island, surrounded by lush vegetation and easily accessible by car. It's the perfect destination if you're cycling along the Shimanami Kaido. Youko is an incredible host, warm, welcoming, and exceptionally helpful. She provided excellent recommendations for bike rentals, local restaurants, and activities, and every day left thoughtful notes at reception highlighting events happening in the area. When we accidentally left our backpack (with passports inside!) at the guesthouse, she promptly mailed it to our next destination without hesitation. Our 8-year-old daughter, Alice, loved the play area in the communal dining space, bouncing on the trampoline in the garden, and meeting the resident animals: friendly sheep, two charming cats, and Maroon, the adorable dog. The property itself is spotless. We stayed in one of the Japanese-style rooms, which felt spacious by Japanese standards, and offered spectacular views over the bay. The rooftop terrace was another highlight for us. We'd wholeheartedly recommend staying here, it’s truly a special place.

The location is peaceful and beautiful. The host is kind and welcoming.

There is no true kitchen for guests. It is possible to cook outside but there was only cold water for washing dishes. Fortunately the host was kind and let us use her rice cooker.

Gamigami is located with a fantastic view across the inland sea with islands near and in the distance. It is a pity that cables are in this view as seen from the rooms but you can go up on the flat roof for an unobstructed view. It is not very far on a nearly flat road to the ferry to Onomichi so it makes a good last night if you are cycling from Imabari taking several days as we did. We had a comfort Japanese style room.

Not very many places to eat that we could find nearby, but the 7/11 was not too far. The dessert restaurant Mer seems to have closed.

The views were lovely and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The owner went out of her way to help us and even let us borrow her bike to get to the shops and back.

The location is quite far from any amenities, but there is a bus stop nearby and borrowing the bikes helped a lot.

    Clean Parking Beach side location

The house is very hot and uncomfortable in the summer Massage chair does not work even though it was advertised Mattresses are very thin Host is not respectful of guest privacy You must make your own beds and also remove all the sheets when you leave

    Property response:

Thank you for your comment. You mentioned that it was hot, but there was air conditioning in the living room and the private room (Japanese style room). Do you mean the common areas? We do not have the budget to install air conditioners in the entire building. I had written in my e-mail in advance that I would like to ask each person to make the beds by themselves, but it might have been a hassle when I was tired. However, it might have been nice to enjoy the process of laying out the futon in the Japanese-style room. The massage chair was free, but it was broken. (A sad event for me as well). It is expensive and I am wondering if I should buy a new one. The accommodation cost is for 3 people. I can't say it is cheap or expensive because each person has his/her own subjective opinion. You thought the mattress was too thin. Thank you for your valuable feedback. We use thick Japanese mattresses, but we will consider replacing them as they may deteriorate over time. You mentioned that the staff did not respect your privacy, for what reason did you feel this way? Thank you for your message along with your feedback.

Amazing host treated us really well and online check-in allowed us to come very late in the night. The shower room had everything we needed and more. We could heat up food in common area and enjoy beautiful sunrise.

While we thought there is a kitchen available and bought groceries for cooking, there was only a microwave so we went through night very hungry. We could not use the bath tube during our stay.
