Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThey will lock you in the room and you need to call to be let out but they picked up the phone on second ring so was hardly waiting long. The road is very very busy and you can hear it through the night.
Easy to find and once I got to reception (fourth floor) everything on check in was easy. The person checking in used an English to Japanese translator which really helped. Room was clean and tidy. Also modern for a Love Hotel. I love all the free things that you get in Love Hotels. Bathroom was also a steam room which was a nice unique touch to the room. I know Love Hotels aren’t for everyone but for a night after a long drive they are great.

EstoniaBedside was a bit dusty and as I have a dust allergy I woke up with a stuffy nose.
Good prize and interesting experience as at first I didnt realize I booked a love hotel. But it seemed like an interesting experience to have in Japan and the hotel and room was very nicely designed indeed. Very spaceous and amenities. Free ice-cream was a nice touch. Location was fine, with train and walk about 25 min from Nagoya Station.

FranceHaving to call when you have to go out of the room, but I guess it's common in that kind of establishment. Took a little while before we could check in but nothing dramatic.
Room is spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Shower/bathtube (with TV) are spacious and clean. Different lights in the room according to your mood 😈 Amenities were good (shaving cream, comb, cuddling gears and stuff) Staff was nice and helpful (necessary as we are foreigners not used to love hotel). Nevertheless, we recommend staying only one night as it's not a place you will want to stay for many days.

JapanWe were put in a SMOKING room. Never did I ask for smoking room or was I notified I was booking a smoking room. Nothing was said about it in the room description when I booked. The room was nice but REEKED of cigarette smell. If it wasn’t for that I would give it 10 stars.
Good location, very clean, though a bit worn out.

Singapore- a few steps to negotiate as it is not designed for travellers. - travelled with a same sex friend & they were a bit surprised. that’s draconian. - as it is a love hotel, the room is locked once u check in till the next day. make sure it’s the last thing u do.
- convenient if u drive. - it’s near to Aeon mall which is brilliant. - sheltered carpark till the lobby floor. - love hotel experience is a plus! - v affordable for the amount of space u get.

United StatesThe door of your hotel room automatically locks and there is no way for you to unlock the door to get out! I realize we are in Japan and not the USA, but in the USA that would be illegal, so I was quite shocked when I wanted to leave my hotel room late in the evening to go have dinner, only to find out I could not get out of my room. I called the front desk but no one there spoke or understood English, so it was a big problem for a non-japanese speaker.
I liked most everything about the hotel except for one gigantic problem!

JapanThe water dispenser in the room was lit up and so noisy all night long, plus 3 more fridges, I couldn't sleep at all, even with earplugs. That was very disappointing and the main reason for the low review score.
Nice big room with a huge bathroom, many complimentary amenities. I was planning to get breakfast, but as advised, the delivery would be the earliest around 8 am I had to skip it but it was a good option to consider. Leaving and entering the hotel during the stay can be tricky for someone without language knowledge, so know the system before you book.

JapanWe were told that two men can not stay in this hotel just because it’s a love hotel in Japan. However this is no any words that written about that on the web site. I Can feel how conservative it is in Japan.

JapanWe've had many better experiences at other love hotels. This one ranks close to the bottom... There were cockroaches in the room and shower. The bed mattress was old and thin, we could feel the hardboard underneath so it wasn't very comfortable. For Golden Week, our options were limited, but I can imagine we would pay a tad bit more for something 100x more pleasant. Lesson learned.
I liked that we only chose to stay one night.

United StatesNot a real hotel. it is 100% a love / sex hotel. The sofa looks worn and the bed is not a real bed for sleeping. You can't ignore that it is made for sexual pleasure. Staying there for more than 1 or maximum 2 nights would be pretty depressing. Staying there alone is really madness.
It is a love hotel... Don't stay there alone. Stay there only if sex is your thing. Otherwise, it is not the cleanest and the decoration and lighting is all geared towards sexual pleasure. To stay there for more than a couple of nights would be a disaster. On the positive side, the room has a real souna, a steam room and a wonderful bath.

JapanThey lock you in the room so you have to call the front desk to leave but they don't always answer so you then have to call them on your phone and they ask you why you're leaving. Also there was a baby roach in the shower room.
