The internet was not strong but we appreciated the relaxing calmness.

The house is so beautiful and the lady is so nice! It's a whole little house on a calm street. The interior and exterior are very authentic Japanese style but it has all the modern comfort that's needed. It is not far away from the ferry port. The beds were really comfortable. The welcoming was also such a great experience. The host is kind and thoughtful!

I loved everything about my stay! The host is one of the friendliest, kindest people you’ll meet, the bath is lovely, the futon is incredibly comfortable, and the location is excellent. I don’t think there was anything that I had any troubles with, and I already want to go back!

A bit dark, especially living area We didn’t get instructions on how to use the bath (it’s automatic with controls in Japanese) so we used only shower. I’m sure if we asked we’d get the instructions but we were too tired already.

The house and the stay were perfect. Greeted with smiles, tea and snacks from the host. An impeccably restored traditional Japanese house, finished to an extremely high standard. The host goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and show you her beautiful house. The automatic bath was amazing. On a peaceful street just off the Main Street of miyajima. We loved it, Thanks so much!

We stayed at Shintatsuan for 2 nights in Miyajima, and it was the nicest accommodation we stayed at during our entire trip! Our host welcomed us with a lovely warm welcome! The accommodation is a beautiful traditional Japanese home with lovely artwork, furniture, and a comfortable atmosphere! The bed was extremely comfortable, facilities are great and it's located very close to the main attractions on the island. Amazing experience, would give more than 5 stars if possible!

Not a feedback just an advice. If you come in cold season don‘t forget your woolen socks! The heaters work very well but you can‘t wear slippers in the living room so feet would still get cold if you are not used to it :)

Everything was just perfect. The house is beautiful and all the details so charming. Super clean, high-tech toilet and everything you need. Beautiful traditional Japanese house in the traditional street of Miyajima, close to everything by walking like Temples, restaurants, shopping etc.. The host is lovely and so kind. Our stay was amazing.

‏The stairs to the upper floor were a bit tricky to climb, but aside from that, the place is even more stunning and authentic than in the pictures!

From the moment we arrived, our host welcomed us with so much love and even surprised us with handmade honeymoon gifts – such a touching gesture! There was also a heartfelt note that truly moved us. The place itself is beautiful, well-equipped, and incredibly clean. The bathtub was excellent, and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated the thoughtful snacks, coffee, and water. We wish we could have stayed longer – it was such a lovely experience. Highly, highly recommended!

The house itself was so cozy and comfortable. We loved learning the history of it and where various pieces had been sourced from! Everything we needed was provided, including restaurant recommendations for dinner and breakfast. Our host was so welcoming, kind, and lovely! We would love to stay again next time we're in Miyajima :)

Cozy exceptionally renovated Japanese style house. With high tech bathtub and toilet. Room heaters kept bedroom warm. Owner Yoko was super friendly. Responsive immediately to any questions. Was very flexible with checkin time. Even met us at miyajima ferry station to walk us to the house

The property was a traditional Japanese home which was such a privilege to get to experience, it was absolutely beautiful. It was a great location and the host was very helpful and accommodating, she gave us tips for activities we had planned and let us know when all the times for high tide, low tide, sunrise and sunset were. She also let us leave our suitcases before and after the check out times so we were able to arrive early and leave late without having to take out suitcases around the island. Will recommend to everyone we know traveling through Miyajima!
