Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI wish the lockers were slightly bigger, and I wish the. 6th floor had more than one shower. Yep that’s right there’s only one Effing shower on the 6th floor. But they do supply free combs and brushes, soaps, laundry soap, razors and toothbrushes…freeeeee. And they have laundry in the bathroom area, 200 yen for a load and 100 yen per 30 minutes on dryer. They also supply pajamas and fresh towels daily, no extra charge. If you are traveling for work and need a quick place to rest and take some online meetings you can’t really go wrong here.
The curry was good. Consistent flavor at all times of day. It’s always there to feed you if you need a snack. Sometimes they have rice pilaf or fried rice for dinner. Don’t expect huge chunks of carrots and potatoes and meat in the curry… it’s free! They have to mince everything up into tiny pieces to be able to keep that pot full all day. My favorite thing to do was go grab some random stuff at family mart or 711 (both less than 2 minutes on foot) and eat that with the curry. Boom. Nothing to complain about except for the Chinese guy slurping his snot and hocking looters in the corner hand wash station instead of going to the bathroom which is five feet away. (Geez, seriously bro?) and the Korean dude sitting next to me picking his toes while I’m eating, and then using that same exact hand to turn the pages of the manga he’s reading… after that he’ll put it back on the shelf and NOW IT’S YOUR TURN. Okay but seriously that’s my only rant. Some of the people staying there suck… but you could say that about any place. The manga library is first class And there’s racks of it available in the dining room and walls of it in the basement. The floors they refer to as “common use” areas (basement and 5th floor) aren’t translated correctly (for Americans, common areas means FREE USE) so somebody needs to fix that. Anyways, they are still very affordable and if you are a budget-conscious digital nomad this place is literally the shiznit. It just takes some getting used to the whole locker situation, and the shoe box situation. The beds are very minimal but good enough and they change out the sheets and pillow cases every day. No sleeping in if you work late or party, gotta be up by eleven am because they start cleaning right then, and are at it till two. So if you work afternoon time, you’ll need to either use the dining area OR just rent one of the “common use “ mini rooms or offices on the 5th or basement floor. Super cool little rooms for jamming on your laptop or napping.

Loved the amenities, including a decent sized locker. Women's dorm was quiet and relaxing.

HungaryIn the changing room I discovered several moldy spots. The locker is small, my backpack barely fit in.. There is no duvet, just a thin cover, so it will be either too hot or too cold. I was hot in the evening then later it got colder.. Also, you can hear everything people do, from talking to walking beside your capsule, everything. Bring blinds and earplugs.
There was a comfortable a spacious warm public bath, where you could go as many times as you want during your stay and the opening hours of the bath. The staff was nice, they tried their Best to speak English. You get a free drink as well.

JapanIt is a capsule hotel, so the quality of sleep really depends on how easily you can ignore the 30 or so guys sleeping around you, each capsule not being soundproof.... The changing area / locker room is too narrow to be comfortable.
10mns walk from Kannai station, the hotel is in the lively area of Isezakicho, and about 15mn from Nogecho. Thus great for a night out. For a capsule hotel, the facilities were very good: towels, pajamas, toothbrushes etc....There is even a sento.

United StatesThe location outside is not a great neighborhood; although there is a Food Mart just around the corner, I was propositioned by two different women hanging out next to it (perhaps they were touts for a "gentleman's club" between the Food Mart and the capsule hotel) There are TVs in the bed capsules, but although there is a USB-port input on the TV, there is no way to actually play videos from a USB thumb drive. On the ventilation fans in the capsule, there is a filter-like square of foam, but mine was so clogged with lint that the fan could barely draw the warm air out of the capsule. Also, because they clean all of the rooms at 11am, you have to leave your bed and the capsule area at that time. Inconvenient if you stayed up late the night before, or are getting over a cold or something.
There was free rice and sometimes a rice-based meal like fried rice which was nice. Also, they have a huge library of manga books, so if you're into that and can read Japanese, that would be a plus.

CanadaLocation's a little far from everything. It's pretty much center between 3 stations, but I had to walk pretty far from the bayside when the subway service ended and the JR line was overcrowded. The futons were also a little thin and hard to sleep on. And the privacy screen was getting stretched apart.
It was nice to have lockers for luggage as a change from other capsules. Very useful for clearing my belongings out of the cubicle for the daily cleaning.
