Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenThe breakfast queue is very long if you don’t come when it’s open. But they have a queue system so you can wait somewhere else and get notification via email.
Super good resort, we went during the end of our 6 weeks of Japan trip. After all the crazy walking days, it is well deserved to just relax in the onsen and do some simple day activities. We love the baby room where our 7month baby spent many hours playing at. Food is also great, we chose both breakfast and dinner. Best way to come here is by car, but we managed with the highway bus from Maiko. And taxi from Fukura to the hotel is only 1400yen very convenient. Many Japanese family travel here for one day stay. The Onsen is fantastic we enjoyed so much. Maybe we will come back again, but next time we come by car :)

United KingdomWe stayed here overnight on a road trip. The room was very spacious and modern. The buffets for dinner & breakfast were abundant. The onsen and rest areas whilst busy were spacious and clean. Our only issue was our booking selection did not include the dinner. The price charged at the front desk was over double the price at Yen 8,600 per person.

AustraliaWe went in Winter so didn’t get to enjoy all of the facilities such as the swimming pool and the walking trails
Great amenities including the onsen and rotenburo. Loved the snacks and drinks bar in the arvo and the late night alcoholic drinks bars for adults. Magnificent room with so much space and wonderful views. Hotel with a great location near Fukura town and the bridge to Shikiku

JapanBreakfast so crowded and noisy. Had to wait in hotel room for a message on our phone to finally return to dining room after checking in an hour earlier! Rushed to eat our breakfast with a only a few minutes left. No microwave in the whole hotel for guests to use.. not even on a floor! Gave up waiting 30 minutes for front desk to microwave just 2 bentos for us from behind their counter.
Fantastic view! Great welcome with free beer and snacks. Very comfortable bed and room.

NorwayThe rooms were not spotless. Tiny bathroom. Just one large towel and seemingly random yukata parts (no belts on one, no trousers on the others). The onsen was ok, but apart from that there wasn't really much else to do.
Good place to relax. Nice outdoor onsen. And big rooms. Great breakfast.

JapanI am living in Japan for quite long and overall stating about 30 nights plus per year in Hotels. This was an absolute disappointment and when looking at what we paid (around 1600 USD), the worst Hotel ever in Japan. We do travelled during peak season so it might be cheaper during regular times but the Hotel was so busy that we would have needed to wait over an hour, just to get the breakfast we have paid for, just to then be told that after the wait is over, breakfast will be closed anyways. Also, when staying at a Hotel I expect that if they have a restaurant that there is enough capacity to serve its own guests. I mean sure, certain options can be sold out at times but there was literally no option to get anything to eat for lunch or dinner in or around the hotel. Being on an Island with little population, we were lucky that we came by car and were able to drive towards the city but for people just arriving their by bus, you honestly are screwed or have to take a 40 minutes walk. If this Hotel would have costs half or less then perhaps I would not say anything but charging Premium, you kinda expect to get something in return which was sadly not the case. Really can not recommend.
In regards to the Hotel itself, nothing really.

New ZealandI couldn't believe the price of the dinner. We were also going to have dinner and I didn't research it beforehand. I am sure it would be delicious but we just couldn't justify it.
Brilliant, it is worth booking this as the options are endless and delicious.
