Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. It was a lovely small, characterful hotel, unlike the bigger hotels where we have been staying. It is not far from the train station in a quiet back street and you can catch a bus to the station two mins away or it’s a 25 min walk. There was a nice cafe two mins away and also a vegan cafe and take away for those who don’t eat meat. We had a great spacious room with a separate kitchen area and really useful washing machine. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

had a lovely stay here during my birthday trip to Japan. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and I was touched to find a birthday gift waiting for me on arrival. The location is convenient - about a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station and close to several beautiful temples. After a week and a half of travelling, having a washing machine on-site was a real bonus. Highly recommend for the thoughtful service and great location.
