Stayed in traditional room with tatami mats. Short walk from the pier, and not too far to Furuzamami Beach (spectacular). Comfortable and clean. Room was small, but it was nice having a toilet and sink in the room even though the shower was shared. What a beautiful island!

Lack of pillows.

Quiet, cosy and has aircon that caters to warm or cool weather. Close proximity to the convenience store, to the pier, to all the delicious food stores/restaurants. Toilet is very clean. Bed is very comfortable.

The room looked a bit old

The owner is very nice and helpful and she speaks good English. I got a traditional room with Japanese tatami. It was not a luxurious room, but it was clean and comfortable. I had a good rest. I am glad that the toilet was in the room, but the shower was shared. I could store my luggage after check-out

Doesn’t provide breakfast and generally there are few options for breakfast within the town.

Lovely new bathroom, comfortable bed, able to hire beach towels, snorkels direst from the hotel, allowed us to check-in soon after we arrived rather than waiting until the official time.

The breakfast room in the restaurant next on the street is a bit hard to find. It's also very traditional japanese breakfast that is optional and can be booked the day before in the hotel.

Zamami is a wonderful island. The village is small, so everything is close by. The guesthouse has nice hosts and the rooms are spotless clean.

The room was spacious and clean. The host was very nice, helpful and welcoming, and even allowed us to check in before the official time. We had a great time here at Iyonchi😄

Family room with two double beds and tatami area. Very large by Japanese standards. Snorkel and towel hire very reasonably priced and complimentary tea and coffee. Washing and drying facilities very useful.

We came on island at 10:00 am, accommodation was ready at 12. Clean, spacious, nice rooms. Very good restaurant next door.

Great location, staff were great! A little pricey considering the facilities, lack of private shower, etc., but a great stay on this amazing island!

The staff were so friendly and the room was very clean. We wish we could have stayed longer! Our ferry was cancelled so we arrived a day later than planned. They refunded our room for one night. We ate at their restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was delicious. We also did a snorkel and SUP tour that was fun. Our guide was awesome. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The owners were very welcoming. Helped me to book snorkelling. The snorkelling with Iyon was fantastic. Clean, very comfortable bed! There was a projector my room which you can look at photos from the day from your phone!

Nothing; Just a reminder that the wooden doors in front marked closed are to their restaurant. Go around to the right side of the building to ring the doorbell for service.

Iyo and his wife, Tomo were incredibly kind and welcoming!! The twin room is well designed (neutral colors, wood & tatami floor are inviting) w private bath (good flow of hot water in shower). Snorkel gear and beach towel are for rent; Just down the road from our favorite Restaurant Marumiya!! They let us store our luggage and take the snorkel gear & beach towel to Furazamami after checkout, as we were heading back on the afternoon ferry.

The room was quite cold. Even after leaving the hot air blowing for a while, it was still pretty cold.

Comfy fold-out bed. Room and toilet were clean. Communal kitchen and table was good. Easy access to eateries, that included vegetarian food. La Toquee was nearby and good for veggie food and a nice atmosphere. Easy to check in. Would stay again in a warmer season.

I think because the guesthouse is meant for people mainly staying in summer it would have been nice to be provided with a blanket (I stayed in February). It wasn't cold with the air con on I just think it would be nice. Also maybe more hooks in the rooms.

I liked how close it was to the ferry port and the supermarket, and I thought the price was expensive for a dorm room (£26 a night) but it was actually a single room so incredibly good value! The bed was comfy and there was a fridge, washing line, I cooked food in the microwave in the common area every night, there were shared good showers and a bath, nice and clean, air con. Also, I rented a snorkel mask and flippers for ¥1000 for my stay and also did a 2 point snorkeling boat tour with the owner, because I realised that it was cheaper than the other options for boat (same price as beach snorkeling) and just more convenient.

The ceiling in the room could do with a re-paint as there were marks on it.

The accomodation was basic but was a very reasonable price and in a great location. The owner kindly organised a snorkelling tour for us on Christmas Day.

Great location and friendly staff! Gave us recommendations on where’s best to snorkel and we saw turtles straight away. Would definitely stay again next time.
