The bathroom was pretty small, but I was the only person in my dorm therefore it was totally fine. I imagine if it had been full than the space definitely wouldn’t have been enough. The location is a little far from everything else but totally manageable walking distance.

It was a great location for the train, renting bikes and the ferry to the Shaminami Kaido. The hostel staff were friendly and really helpful! Breakfast was good!

The staff were really lovely, they provided a nice breakfast and towels, and the room was spacious and clean. Location was good, and it's close to the temple walk and bike rental shops. I'd stay here again!

The only negative thing about our stay was the beds. Probably the worst bed I’ve ever slept on, you could feel the springs and it was not comfortable. Having said that we still enjoyed our stay.

The overall experience was very good, the staff were friendly. The dorm rooms were very big. They had a PlayStation too which was a nice plus.

pillow a little thin for my liking, but fine for the night.

Staff super helpful, advised best time to pick up rental bike and assisted in securing my luggage for the ride. Bunk bed was comfortable. Large mixed dorm room with space to store items. I arrived a little earlier than planned and was able to store luggage outside under cover while I explored Onomichi. Vegan breakfast was filling.

It has a proper hostel vibe and not Co working space like most hostels in Japan, the owner is amazing and he really tries to help with the trip (he found me a bike rental although most were sold out, he helped some other guys with transportation problems), breakfast is delicious and homy, it's so well run and organized, it has everything, loved my staying

Everything exceeded my expectations. The variable with shared dorms are the guests, and the group I met were exceptional- very considerate of others’ needs. Quiet prevailed.

The owner (female) was less welcoming for me personally. Maybe because I can't talk Spanish, because she seemed to be very enthusiastic with the Spanish talking guests.

The eggs for breakfast are great. The owner (male) of the place was very nice to me. He made me feel welcome and at home. And he had a lot of good tips. Thank you. Room is spacious. Fresh towels every day.

Relatively quiet when I was there so had lots of room in the dorm although even if full it was very roomy with space for desks and a sofa! Beds were comfortable and common area was nice. Really good breakfast included each morning with a few options. Good location for exploring onomichi and close to ferry/station so easy to start Shimanami Kaido (which is amazing!).

Really everything you would want from a hostel - comfortable, clean and well located. They also very kindly let me leave my bag (with no charge) for a number of days while I was cycling. I was also able to check in (slightly) early. The hostel seemed to be closed outside of check-in hours. The lady at the front desk wasn't hugely helpful or friendly - I wasn't sure if it was because I didn't speak Spanish or Japanese. Minor gripe was that I wasn't allowed to move to another (empty) lower bunk (mine was right by the door) even though the room only had one other person staying / the beds weren't being used and I asked at a quiet time of day when noone else was around.

We only stayed at the guesthouse for one night, but we really enjoyed our time. Besides the comfortable bed and the great included breakfast, there was coffee, tea, and even a popcorn machine with everything you need to make your own popcorn! It's a family-run business, and everyone is incredibly kind and helpful.

The stairs to the 2nd floor was steep so it's kinda scary. The bathrooms are very tiny, showering can get uncomfortable especially if you're a bigger person. The roof of the bunk beds are too low.

Place was incredibly clean. I got a whole room for myself, and the rooms are pretty big. There is free breakfast every morning, and the breakfast food is genuinely good and not just like, toast with jam or something.

They have a curfew time around 11pm… we were still having drinks and trying to be quiet but they just send everyone to bed

The people were great. The facilities were good enough to stay for a night or two for sure.

The hosts are super friendly. I was the only guest for the night and had the whole dormitory all to myself. Perfect for staying if you want to cycle the Shimanami Kaido! Common area and dorm were clean, bed was really comfy and warm, the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend.
