Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Location was close to train station. Had everything we needed and was clean and well run.

The owners were super cheerful and friendly and helpful. You could really see they enjoyed what they were doi g. I particularly enjoyed how they set up how a guest gets to choose their breakfast. For being a hostel the beds were ver comfortable and they provided many flashlights in case you wake up in the dark.

The toilet room and shower was a bit on the smaller side and poorly ventilated.

Room was spacious enough, bed comfortable, tasty little breakfast, very nice staff

The bathroom was pretty small, but I was the only person in my dorm therefore it was totally fine. I imagine if it had been full than the space definitely wouldn’t have been enough. The location is a little far from everything else but totally manageable walking distance.

It was a great location for the train, renting bikes and the ferry to the Shaminami Kaido. The hostel staff were friendly and really helpful! Breakfast was good!

The staff were really lovely, they provided a nice breakfast and towels, and the room was spacious and clean. Location was good, and it's close to the temple walk and bike rental shops. I'd stay here again!

The overall experience was very good, the staff were friendly. The dorm rooms were very big. They had a PlayStation too which was a nice plus.

The only negative thing about our stay was the beds. Probably the worst bed I’ve ever slept on, you could feel the springs and it was not comfortable. Having said that we still enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was very delicious. Location was perfect. Staff was welcoming. Everyone other guest I met at the hostel was open, kind, interesting, and curious about my trip (and I back at them)

The two bathrooms were both occupied sometimes when I needed to use the restroom.

The breakfast in the morning was superb. While it came out a little later than the time I requested, I was pleasantly surprised that it was a home cooked meal, not just a random box of cereal or pre-packaged food. This breakfast was super delicious and the perfect start to a long day of biking. The bedrooms were also very clean and had nice bedding. There was a locker to store your things in. The owners, even though not all spoke English, were very kind and welcoming.

While the shower and toilet were very clean, the vanity was a little messy and there was only a bar of soap to wash your hands on. Personally I find the idea of sharing a bar of soap with others a little bit gross. It was also very hot in the common area, but there was AC in the bedroom so I was able to sleep fine. When I first arrived the wifi was also not working, but the next morning it was up and running again.

Great hostel, friendly hosts, breakfast for that price is a great touch!

Beds felt a bit short for 185cm, couldn't fully stretch out.

Staff super helpful, advised best time to pick up rental bike and assisted in securing my luggage for the ride. Bunk bed was comfortable. Large mixed dorm room with space to store items. I arrived a little earlier than planned and was able to store luggage outside under cover while I explored Onomichi. Vegan breakfast was filling.

pillow a little thin for my liking, but fine for the night.

Friendly, helpful staff. Good facilities, comfortable bed, towels and toiletries provided including toothbrush and toothpaste.

Pretty good location in Onomichi, very friendly owners and good breakfast. Breakfast was a nice surprice 😊 images posted represent hostel well and a good price match. Recommend if staying a night or two and starting or ending your journey at Shimanami Kaido.

It has a proper hostel vibe and not Co working space like most hostels in Japan, the owner is amazing and he really tries to help with the trip (he found me a bike rental although most were sold out, he helped some other guys with transportation problems), breakfast is delicious and homy, it's so well run and organized, it has everything, loved my staying

Everything exceeded my expectations. The variable with shared dorms are the guests, and the group I met were exceptional- very considerate of others’ needs. Quiet prevailed.
