I wish the property had an AC unit in all rooms 💔 There is only one unit in the living room. A lot of us preferred to sleep with the bedroom doors closed but then the bedrooms would reach five million degrees at night because there was no airflow into the room from the AC in the living room.

SOO FUN the owner was sooo nice, showed us around town, gave us pointers on good restaurants nearby and recommendations. amenities and everything were so lovely. Pete is an amazing host and I would recommend him to anyone.

Nothing to do with the place or Peter, but the lack of taxis could be the only “bad” thing.

Peter’s service was above and beyond at all times, not inly he picked us up from the station but he offered to drive us to the resort when taxis were not available (which in Hakuba is almost always…). One of the best hosts I ever had no doubt.

It was close to the train and bus station, the apartment was spacious and very clean. It was lovely to experience traditional Japanese bedroom. They also had a western style bedroom as well. Bathroom was spacious and great water pressure. Kitchen well stocked with cups, mugs, plates etc. Our hosts were amazing, they booked our dinners that we picked out and helped us out with info about the town, and where to get our ski equipment . Plus much more!! The food recommendations were amazing. Wonderful place to stay, very very helpful hosts, lovely back area to play in the snow. Close to a lot of ski resorts. We will definitely come back to stay here. Thanks again for everything, we appreciate it!!

The apartment was fantastic, very spacious. Everything near new. The host, Peter, went way above exceptiona in helping us settle in and making us feeling welcome. He helped with restaurant bookings and recommendations to fantastic local restaurant that in no way broke the bank. The location, while away from the traditional restaurant district of Hakuba, was made up for with convenience for transport, being 200m from the train station, 300m from the only supermarket in Hakuba, 200m from the main bus route to the ski fields, and close walking to some great restaurants and bars.

Pete was a terrific host for us going out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful stay and trip to the snow. Property was well equipped and in a great location. I’m a big believer in choosing properties based on their review score and this property proved that point!

Mirrors needed in the bedrooms without an en suite.

The apartment was spotless with everything you needed. Most, if not all, utilities seemed brand new. Pete was super helpful and on hand if needed. Help booking restaurants and recommendations made for skiing based on daily weather. Garage bar meet up with other guests.

We liked everything and the only thing we could possibly fault was the lack of a full-length mirror which our teenagers would have liked for their 'fit checks'.

Really near Hakuba Train Station. A variety of good eateries around. Near to a convenience store and supermarket. Starbucks, which we went to for breakfast on some days, was about a pleasant ten-minute walk away. The host, Pete, gave us some useful pre-arrival information and helped us with local restaurant bookings. Everything was just a WhatsApp away. A spacious field covered with thick powder snow was just outside the apartment for the kids to build a snowman in. Having a washer and a dryer was such a bonus for wet, soggy clothes in the winter.

We have a family of 3 stay for 2 night (22/11/24-24/11/24) at Hakuba Downtown Apartment. We have a wonderful stay at this apartment, it is fully equipped with all the facilities and kitchen utilities where you can cook during your stay. It really felt like staying at home 😊 We would like to special highlight that this apartment have an excellent and unblocked view of the mountain from the living room, to the kitchen and even sleeping on the bed. Last but not least, we met the host Pete in person, he is super nice and helpful guy. He do gave us some advice during our stay in Hakuba. During the day of check out, he purposely made a trip down to Hakuba Station to say goodbye to us with his lovely dog. We felt so touch and welcome by the host. We highly recommend this apartment to those who is looking for your accommodation in Hakuba. It is definitely worth for the price!!

We had an amazing time at this place! The accommodation was spotless and very well-maintained. One of the highlights was the stunning mountain view we could enjoy right from our room—it really made our stay extra special. The location is also perfect, just a short walk to Hakuba Station, and conveniently close to Patagonia, North Face, and Starbucks. The owners, Pete and Shiho, were incredibly welcoming and a pleasure to talk to, making us feel at home. My family had a fantastic experience here, and we will definitely choose this place again for our next visit to Hakuba. Highly recommended!
