There was a little traffic noise in the early morning. The kitchen didn’t have a hob or an oven. There was also only two spoons and one cutting knife (a bread knife) and no chopping board. Small issues really but for someone with food allergies who needed to self cater it made things a bit challenging.

Conveniently located a short walk from the ferry, local restaurants and a 7/11. Very traditional house with nice tea room. Owner left snacks and a ‘mini bar’ which was a nice touch. Easy to communicate with.

This charming Japanese traditional-style house has all the amenities you need for a stay on Naoshima. Perfect location that’s just a short walk from the pier. There were two bedrooms - with Japanese futons on the floor. The beds were very comfortable. There was a tea ceremony room set up, a dining table and 4 chairs, and full kitchen. There are two toilets, one shower and full bath, and a coin operated washer and dryer - which was convenient. Although it was very cool outside, the owners had left the air conditioning on so it was lovely and warm when we arrived. The self service check in was easy to follow. Just a matter of using a mobile phone to call and confirm you were there (the phone is provided for you) then scan a QR code to do an online check in. The rooms had traditional Japanese screens and doors. We really loved the original features of the house that was kept in wonderful condition. We highly recommend and would stay here again.

The rennovated part of the floor was a bit off aesthetically but thats a minor detail in the overall experience.

Check-in involved calling a mobile when you arrive, but it was all pretty straight forward.

The place was huge with two bedrooms, dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, two toilets and upstairs space. Futons were comfortable and they even left some water and snacks for us. We had fun drawing in the guest book. All very clean and a great location. We were also able to leave our luggage at the bike shop at the port.

This is a beautiful Japanese style house with two beautiful rooms, dining room, living room It has all the facilities you could ask for. The location is perfect, 5 minutes’ walk from the ferry station Everything is great, we enjoyed it very much and will recommend it to friends traveling to Nioshima

It took us some time to identify the laundry washing liquid or work out if we needed to buy our own. Could be better to label it and leave it near the coin-operated washing machine and dryer. Also, be careful of the small step down into the kitchen.

Easy check in using phone left on the premises. Short walk from Miyanoura Port. Near good coffee places and the excellent New Olympia restaurant. Very spacious - two bedrooms, 3 living spaces plus kitchen, two toilets, and great bathroom. Comfortable bathrobes and copious towels. Indoor verandah areas useful for drying clothes, etc. Lovely sun in the morning and a nice place to come home to at the end of the day.

Self check in was a bit bumpy - possibly our fault!

It was lovely to stay in an authentic Japanese house. It was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal - quiet neighborhood, very close to Miyanoura port and the Seven-Eleven!

Everything was great, except that we could not see a way to lock the sliding front door. We told the owner when we left and he said he would look into it. (It is a self service check in and check out.)

Lovely traditional house, minutes from the port. Close to good restaurants and cafes. Great to have a washing machine and dryer - easy to use, you need 100 yen coins.

Not the greatest price-quality relation, but other than that, no real minus points.

Great to have a spacious house with all the necessary facilities. Nice luggage service to and from the shop close to the port. Proactive and helpful staff members. I wish we stayed a bit longer...
