Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe aircon in my room didn't work well. It looked like it wasn't working well compared with my friend room. The room was quite old but it's fine for us. Moreover, the pillows there are very thin.
Most there is all good

SingaporeThe hotel furnishing is functional and clean, but is older and could use some updating. There are also some signs are only in Japanese (for example: the explanation of the bath salts, the pillow choices and the express checkout box). Since the hotel already has some English+Japanese signs, wouldn't it be great if more signs were also in English?
The hotel is pleasant to stay in, is near the Fukui castle ruins, and is within walking distance of the Fukui station and Asuwa River. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel provides you with a choice of bath salts and pillows. USB charging points are provided. The breakfast venue is not overcrowded and pleasant, and the dish choices were great. The hotel reception is now on the 1st floor.

JapanNice location, good sized room, nice breakfast. Room was too hot, the window didn’t open, and the only way to regulate the temperature was to prop open the room door. My daughter has eczema and was scratching all night. For this reason I don’t think I’d stay again. Otherwise it was great, but if it’s too hot to sleep in March, I’d have no confidence in staying here at any other time of the year.

United KingdomThere's no car park in this hotel so I had to park in a car park outside. The first one was full by the time I got there so I had to circle the block till I see a car park # 2. I also had to lug my suitcase around the huge park before I got to the hotel.
The hotel is centrally located. Fukui Station is within walking distance with restaurants for dinner aplenty. One gets a chance to see the impressive station and the dinosaurs guarding the front. The room is also spacious and comfortable.

JapanThe room smelled slightly of smoke, but once I turned on the humidifier and AC, I didn’t notice it
The breakfast buffet was delicious! I love the way it is set up, so you can move freely from one section to another I also liked the bath powder bar. I enjoyed a nice bath with some of the bath salts I saw another review that said the room was dark until you put the key in the correct place. Actually, the small light by the door works even without the key, so it’s fine

JapanThe wi-fi in my room didn't work in the morning. But it didn't inconvenience me as I left early and could use my phone.
The room was a comfortable size with a pleasant view. I had all the amenities I needed. It was good to be offered a wide range of free optional amenities (teas, toiletries, etc.)

IrelandThe key cards could do with an update, I struggled to get the door open when I inserted the card. Also the slot to insert your card to turn on the electricity is beside the bed rather than the door, meaning you have to stumble through the dark to find it
Good location, plenty of amenities available at reception.

JapanI have no particular complaints about the hotel.
The hotel was conveniently located close to both the park and the bustling downtown area. I was very satisfied with the buffet-style breakfast, which offered high-quality local ingredients and regional dishes.

JapanElevator buttons do not provide good feedback to guests when using. The lounge seating looked old an overused. The wallpaper in the room was peeling off the wall.
The croissant! It surprised me with great delight. An actual real croissant...15yrs in Japan and its hard to find.

JapanThe building and amenities are a bit old.
Located 10 minute walk from the station and across the park, it’s close to the center. The reception is on the 5th floor and they have a few restaurants in the same building. Many of the room signs are written in English and staff have enough understanding to help you. The single rooms are spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. Curtains keep everything dark, there is a mini fridge, tea kettle and different business services. There are 2 convenient stores located a block from each direction of the hotel. I especially liked their self service for liquids (shampoo, conditioner, hygiene products, and pillows)
