I like to thank the front desk for informing us about our "lost and found" items to be collected from the neighbourhood police station). Overall happy with the stay in this neat, clean and convenient hotel in Tanabe.

CroatiaExtremely close to the train tracks, and trains, even though not that frequent, run until around 23h, which is not good for trying to sleep. I brought earplugs with me so did not have that much trouble with that but there are also earplugs available in the free amenities section in the hotel lobby.
Just about everything is perfect, great value for the money, and very close to the train station. The staff were very polite and accommodating. Even though there were not a lot of options, the free breakfast was nice.

MexicoThe location, at night, can be somewhat dark (but you are in Japan, so there is really no danger). Also, you are next to the train tracks, the room is pretty much sound proof but you can listen some of the noise from the train.
Convenient business hotel for a one night stop. I was doing the Kumano Kodo the next day, so I only stayed for one night before the hike. They have a microwave and vending machines, that come in handy. The breakfast was simple, but good. It is about a 10-minute walk from Kii Tanabe Station.

We we allocated the new wing which opened 10 days before our stay, so everything was spanking clean and new. It also had thoughtful features like usb charging at table, next to bedside. Breakfast was also decent with fair share of protein such as eggs and milk as well as yummy breads & pastry. Each guest is allowed to take 1 onigiri.
