Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThe room absolutely REEKED of cigarette smoke. Although there was an air purifier in the room and we ran the AC almost constantly I still came away with my hair and clothes smelling like smoke despite having had a shower.
This place was a great value for the price. The amenities included complimentary breakfast and two drinks for free from the wet bar. The room was large and had a huge bathroom. The TV was awesome because it had apps like Netflix and Youtube built in. The bathroom had a great hair dryer and some amazing styling tools!

TaiwanWe didn’t expect it to be a “love hotel” because it doesn’t say “adult only” like other places. It was a strange first experience. The ground floor entrance was a room full of different types of shampoos. There was a phone you can speak with the staff. The fees in cash must be paid with the machine in the room. The room door was locked automatically when closed. When you want to go out or when you come back, you have to call the staff to open the room door for you. There was only Smoking Room, it smelled terribly strong, even though there was an air purifier. I slept very badly because of the bad smell.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well-equipped with amenities. There was TV in front of the bathtub. Location was convenient for us. We were coming back from a visit to temples in Kinpusen-ji and Yoshino. There were a few affordable restaurants and many supermarkets in 10-15 minutes drive. We had some difficulties in communication because of language barrier, but the lady staff tried very hard to be helpful, so we finally managed to check in without problem.

SwedenIf anybody wonders, this is a love hotel, we didn't know that, guess our surprise when we saw that you could rent the rooms by hour. We were in a rush and chose the hotel because it was close to Yoshinoyama. And yes, we were a family of 3 and had a baby. First of all, there was a vibrator on the nightstand, ooooo lovely. Second, the room stank of cigarette smoke despite it was a non smoking room. And from now on it only gets better, when you check in you don't get a key, instead you have to call the front desk to ask them to open room door for you, probably to make sure that you've paid before you checked out, in other words, you get locked in after you checks in. And of course condoms, condom machines, weird looking drinks and medicines in vending machine and everything looked filthy and smelled filthy, after one nights stay WE smelled filthy, all our cloths smelled filthy and our baby smelled like fart. Easily put, we won't come back here, even if it indeed was our most interesting accommodation ever=)

CanadaBe warned that this is a love hotel. There is nothing in the advertisement that indicates that. And in the reviews, the last reviewer mentions it, but that was posted the same day as our stay and I never saw it upon booking. As I was travelling with 2 daughters, that was extremely surprising and unexpected. Suffice it to say we did not stay even though we paid for the rooms. Rooms were nice but smelled of smoke extremely badly. Don't think there are any no smoking rooms. And for anyone who has ever been to a live hotel (which I have not and not sure if this is normal or not) but there is no real reception, you have to call on a phone to be let in. Then you will be locked in your room and can't leave without calling reception to be let out.
