Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesDid not have twin room available so booked a second single room to be able to stay another night but still had to check out of the twin room at 10 AM before getting the key for the single room after 3 PM. So we went sightseeing during that time period luckily it was not a rainy day.

United StatesRoom was smaller than most other rooms in Japan. Not much room in the lobby area for baggage storage and only allowed for 2 hours after the 10 AM checkout unlike other hotels like the APA on the block closer to the Keikyu Kamata station. No restaurant in the hotel so no breakfast available at the Livemax Kamata so probably wont stay there again. There is a APA and a Tokyu Stay hotel right across the street. APA is priced similar but Tokyu is priced higher. However Livemax had the twin beds for the rooms that were needed for separate beds for family members. That’s why I booked the rooms there. Better to get single rooms at the other hotels in the area. The other APA on the other side of the station was very modern updated as a cashless hotel so everything paid with a card including hotel room charge and any snacks or drinks. Breakfast was included in some rates too.

United KingdomNo drinking water facilities in the room but you can fill the water from downstairs and the wifi did lag in between. There were very few halal restaurants around but you could research and go as I didn't research beforehand and had to face the issue of finding halal food.
The location was nice, very near to keikyu kamata station and kamata station connecting to all major lines, rooms were clean and comfortable more than good for one person stay. The staff was respectful and helpful.

United StatesNot their fault, but I accidentally booked a smoking room when I wanted a non-smoking one, and they were fully booked and unable to switch me to a non-smoking room. That said, the front desk was extremely courteous and they did what they could!
The front desk was extremely helpful getting us checked in and resolving a technicality we had with an overlapping reservation.

United StatesCheck out is early at 10am.
Typical very small Japanese style room. Great location only about 4 blocks from the Kamata train station. Between the train station and the hotel is a great little shopping strip filled with all kinds of fun restaurants.

United StatesAC control was all in Japanese so I had to hit a lot of buttons to figure out what it did.
Really easy access to the KK train line. 15 minutes from the airport. Fun areas for dining at all hours very close by which was perfect for a layover. Felt comfortable and enjoyed walking around

JapanThe wifi. They say "Free wifi" in the room, but that's barely a wifi. It is real bad. You wanna play games on switch in the end of the day? Forget it, you will get disconnects. You want to watch a stream? 480p, take it or leave it. You want to check work mail? Good luck. Yes, it's free, but by got it's slow.
It's a good place for it's price, the room is quite good, got all the necessary stuff, the hotel is located close to the train station, so it's easy to move around the city, lots of food places nearby and a 7-11 that's open 24/7. Also the hotel has 3 vending machines right at the entrance, one with beers and cold drinks

BelgiumNot really something I mind, just keep getting amazed how small everything is. More something you should keep in mind.Tiiiiny bathtub, bed against one wall and you can't really pass the bed on the other side in the room I have.
It was close to the airport, no more than 15 minutes by public transport and only like three minutes from that stop. Which was great because my airplane landed around 10 pm, was out of the airport by 11 pm. Normally I choose hostel type places for my accommodation, but more often than not they don't have a check in that's open that late. This was a great first night.
