    Hot spring is good.

I forget to request high floor, but I don't expect my room face to public toilet exactly, when I book the room, I know occupancy is full, so I don't expect they can room change for me, room rates include breakfast and dinner buffet, but I don't need it if price is lower, I'm totally disappointed with my room, other is fine.

Staff are very friendly and help us a lot as we drive in big snow storm day. The package of hotel is value for money especially the dinner buffet is with free flow of beer and wine

The hotel is a bit dated and the food selection in buffet is not a lot.

The location and traditional extras like sleeping gown and Onsen. Free beer and saki on tap.

    Wish I was staying longer

The meals were good, even the kids liked that there were so many options, however by day 3 we were hoping for more variety. Staff did not speak English but very friendly and tried their best using a translator app.

The beds are uncomfortable. The "dry room" was not functioning to dry our gear AT ALL. My eyes were swollen every morning, maybe allergic to something in the beds/rooms?

The breakfast and dinner buffets were good. Lots of food and a good variety of choice. The room was large enough and the onsen bath was quite nice. The staff were very helpful.

Dinner is a fantastic experience. Whether you are Japanese or foreign, you will be impressed by the diversity of options and the care with which the food is prepared at the buffet. In addition, the reception staff raises the rating of this hotel much higher than it would be if it weren't for their smiles, especially Mizusawa Eiko, a middle-aged lady who proves that a person's willingness to serve well and life experience make the guest's moment special. The comfort provided at the onsen also exceeds expectations, making the rating excellent despite the location (far from the center of Shibu).

The manager didn't want to let me check in early, even though the room was EMPTY!!! I waited at the reception from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, even though the room was available. Rules...

That our room was quite spacious

My group was late to the buffet as we came a little bit past 8 and they were going to close at 9 and told me they were going to start putting away food at 8:30 so I was busy getting as much food on my plate as i could and telling my group the translations from the Japanese staff and one staff was asking me all sorts of questions such as where i came from, what job i do in japan, etc. like he’s interviewing me. I think that was unnecessary when i had less than an hour to take food and eat everything on my plate.

The onsen was fabulous. We loved that there were two areas (indoor and outdoor), a sauna and cold plunge small tub. The buffet dinner was also the best! Sushi, tempura, lots of middle, hot pot and pour yourself sake, beer etc.

The seventies called and want their games room back! Many of the games were broken, it was out of date and a bit boring. The breakfast spread was brief, especially considering how fabulous dinner was. More variety would be great and substance.

Staff were poor. Gave us the wrong price to send our snowboard to the airport then told us they couldn’t send it.

    Breakfast and Onzen

The showing area and tub area looks dated. I think they expect most people to use their Onzen.

Good buffet, spacious room tatami, good outdoor onsen

Only one downside: Air-con was very loud, so it was difficult to sleep.

The hot springs, arcade, karaoke, gift shop. I like the hokata robes and slippers. Local rural area. Friendly mountain town and people.

    Bathroom was a little dated.

I loved the place, it has its rustic theme which is typical of an old ryokan/hotel in Japan. Very helpful staff
