Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandWe found the apartment just a little bit too small... though OK for our 3-night stay. The toilet room is very cramped, and a large person would have difficulty using it.
Extremely friendly and welcoming hosts. This cosy apartment is in a quiet inner suburban location near to supermarket and station. It is easy to get into central Sapporo. It's fairly well equipped with functioning equipment and facilities.

Malaysiaa house near the subway station will be more convenient to go around Sapporo city toilet very very small, if you're taller/ have long legs you may not be able to close the door the water heater for toilet not reliable, many times it will be cold for a long time even though we have resetted the heater. we endured however
The location is convenient, to JR Shiroishi station (please do not confuse with subway station which has exact same name but located a few km away). The house is ground floor, fairly comfortable, well equipped. relatively cheap host was responsive and came to check on the broken living room heater the next day coin laundry and huge co-op walking distance away

AustraliaToilet was abit cramp and wooden doors has cracking sound and wood smell. Window was abit hard to open and close.
Situated in a great location area, within walking distance to Shiroishi train station, Local Supermarkets, coin laundry, a small park and only 2train stops away from Sapporo City. We totally enjoyed the locals community there, walking along the local street was safe in this great neighbourhood. There’s plenty to explore just by walking around the area, train tracks and beautiful cute housing area. It is quiet after certain time at night when the train stops running otherwise you could hear it if windows are opened but we’ve enjoyed listening to the local trains passing by.. For the price paid, the value is there for the convenience of this property and host has been great with few of our requests which has been met. If we ever return to Shiroishi and price is still competitive rate, we will definitely stay at this place for its value and location. The room is abit small but for the price paid, I still think it is good for the value.

SwedenSome parts did feel a bit ramshackle but it also added some charm to the place. The room for the toilet was quite small as well and could be a bit difficult for bigger people to navigate in though it’s only a minor inconvenience. It wasn’t a problem for me but you can hear the trains arriving to the station even late at night so if you’re a light sleeper it might be difficult.
I liked how close it was to Sapporo station and how friendly the owners were, they recommend good places around Sapporo. The neighbourhood was quite nice and quaint too, with some very friendly staff at the nearby 7-11 by the bank. All in all the price is a steal for such a nice apartment, though I do imagine it’s even nicer in winter. And finally the check in and check out is incredibly simple which is always appriciated.

United KingdomThe apartment was old although it is not a problem in itself. Having said that, when we first arrived, there was a musty smell. We had to open the windows. The smell returned shortly after we closed the windows though. We had to close the windows at night for security so we had to sleep with the smell lingering in the air. We also found hair on bedsheets when we arrived so cleaniness is not quite up to scratch. They fit a big toilet in a small room so it is quite difficult to move in the toilet. The fridge was too cold and the food that we bought in the evening for breakfast was frozen in the morning. There are a few children's chairs but for grown ups, the settee is small and low and it is not very comfortable.
Easy and quick to reach from New Chitose Airport. We were told that we need to get off at Shin Sapporo station and take another train to Shiroishi. However, we found that the train from the airport actually stopped at Shiroishi so we didn't have to get off at Shin Sapporo and wait for another train. It is also very close to the city centre. The owner was also quick to sort out the toilet light which stopped working on the first morning.

United StatesThe location is right next to and straight from a JR station (Shiroishi Station) that is only 2 stops away from Sapporo Station. The facilities are very clean and spacious and much is provided, including a kitchen and living room area. The owners are so very kind, hospitable, and accommodating - July 4th passed during our stay and the owners personally came to give us gifts because we were American. They also gave us extra mattresses for a more comfortable experience. Overall outstanding experience and incredible value for the price - I recommend it to anyone, especially if you are traveling with a group!
