Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandSome insects invaded into the rooms. This only relies on how actively you close door when after entering the house.
Cost performance is very high. There are fewer visitors booking this house compared to weekend and holidays, means you can use all the public utilities as your own in weekdays.

United KingdomNot much just it Can be little noisy because it's typical Japanese style with thin walls so depends on how the other guests are behaving.
Staff were ace. Thankyou. Quiet clean location. Felt relaxing. Short walk to convenient store and ten mins to train at and big supermarket Aeon. Excellent English spoke with great tips and knowledge of the area. Thankyou guys. Oh and good price for the ambiance of the place and style.

United KingdomWe loved our stay here! We let the owner know what time we were arriving, and he met us at the property (they live elsewhere, so it's good to communicate your arrival time). The garden is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, spacious rooms, with comfortable futon beds. There were a few things that would have made it more comfortable, such as having the heating on in the hallway, the taps took a while to get hot and they made a loud noise when trying to heat up, and the heater in our room made a strange noise when it was on. None of these things would prevent us from coming back, though. Honestly, it was beautiful!

MalaysiaThe house is traditional so giving you an option to experience an authentic Japan life. The surrounding is surreal, but i guess you have to rent a car to reach the area (didn’t see many taxi). The house however a bit dusty, although they provided humidifier in our room which respectable. The shared-bathroom area was super clean. Some people may be surprised by the “shared living experience” of sharing bathroom and shower but for us it was fine. Local area has decent restaurants nearby but cannot access without your own transport or walking.

Thoughtful setup of outside garden for a typical Japanese country house. Staff was very cheerful and had many recommendations for food and Onsen. Bathrooms are relatively clean and spacious.

IsraelFor a property with shared amenities, many were missing (no cutlery, no kitchen, nowhere to wash dishes, etc). Also keep in mind that the walls are literally paper so you need to keep very quiet at night

CanadaWe booked a triple room and expected a traditional tatami room with three futons has shown on the photos. Instead, we were given a Western-style room with one double bed and one single bed that was much smaller than 20 sqm. The room was located right between the shared living room and bathroom, making it quite noisy at night as guests tended to check in late. Still we were quite comfortable, but we would have booked elsewhere if we had known what kind of room we would get.
This is a beautiful traditional house in a secluded residential area not too far from Isawaonsen station. The proximity of a Lawson store made the location particularly convenient.

United KingdomVery noisy guests. Many insects enter the house but the insect repellent they provided was working against the mosquitoes. The pillows were really uncomfortable.

MalaysiaThe GPS systems (we used in-car Navi) took us to super narrow and weird roads which was the wrong way Some directions provided in advance would have been perfect We didn't mind walking, but just bear in mind that the restaurants are approximately 15 minutes away
Host was super friendly and took his time to show us around and recommended the best places to visit in Isawa Onsen In addition, he also provided all the contacts and locations of the to-go spots. The voucher for a free towel set for the Fruit Spa Puku Puku was definitely a great addition! In addition, the property had plenty of parking spaces
