The guesthouse is really cute and the owner dedicated a lot of attention to every little detail. The peek of the stay was Mino who was a great host.

There could have been a digital lock with a code on the entrance door, as was the case in many other apartments we viewed. Unfortunately, the private rooms couldn't be locked individually either. But you still felt safe.

It was a very cozy apartment, and the host was very nice too. The rooms were good, and I liked that this house wasn't built for tourists, but was a former residential building.

Mayumi was an excellent host and very helpful in arranging for my luggage to be shipped. It's clear she is a very experienced host and her soufflé cakes are delicious!

There is only one key available so each time you come and go you need to enter the code for the lockbox. The indoor lock is a bit tricky.

The staff attendant Aya was very helpful and communicated well in English while showing me to the location. The kitchen is well-stocked, there are laundry facilities and she prepared cakes for the morning breakfast. There is a grocery store nearby.

The owner is very nice although we did not reply the message and we late check in, she still stay there to help us. We have a great sleep there. Thanks a lot.

Walls of such houses are not soundproof which means the guests need to be considerate of their neighbours. Unfortunately there was a couple in the next room one night that seemed to talk all night and kept me awake. This is no reflection on the host however but I have deducted one point.

Genuine japanese home experience - tatami mats and futons The host provided complimentary chiffon cake for breakfast - a personal touch.

Traditional Japanese style room at the start of Kumano Kodo Nakahechi trail. The room was probably the best value for money we had in this area. The owner was very kind, waited to let us in for quite a while in the evening as our transport was late, and gave us really taste cake from bakery for breakfast.

As it's a traditional house with wooden structure and paper walls, sound does travel quite easily between rooms. That said, it wasn’t an issue during our stay, and the host thoughtfully provides earplugs to help with this if needed.

The host was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything clearly during check-in, which we really appreciated. We also loved the homemade chiffon cake served for breakfast — it was absolutely delicious! The facilities were very clean and included a beautiful Japanese-style bathtub, which added a relaxing touch to the stay.

Mayumi is very nice and hospitable. I appreciate the traditional Japanese house especially it’s my first time in Japan. The place is very clean. Everything was provided. There’s coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, sweetener. It has a full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, etc. the bathroom was very clean and modern.
