Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The staff who spoke English were fabulous. Very helpful and patient. I needed help with finding a location in Imabari and they all helped us find it. We had a problem with parking and they resolved it without fuss. Breakfast was great.

SwitzerlandBreakfast, the hotel was very busy and breakfast had been set-up in a large meeting room, it was noisy, the food was average and overall I was not particularly pleased.
The (public) onsen was good, although I was surprised that as a hotel guest I had to pay. The dinner I had (tepannaki) on the 15th floor was delicious.

IsraelWestern breakfast terrible. We were asked to leave at 9:30 and then really insisted on it.1 parking is a large public lot across the street. Not really inconvenient. They give a voucher after paying discount. Strange that they gave a massive parking lot behind the hotel for tour buses.
Excellent hotel. Helpful staff.. Spacious comfortable rooms. Bathroom ok. Chinese and Japanese restaurants in hotel. Excellent little one a few meters away called 922

Convenient and comfortable. Staff were absolutely delightful—our special thanks to A and S Matsui and Murakami for all their help. Onsen was spacious, quiet (4pm) and relaxing. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel is rather glitzy and old-school, but staff were very gracious and made our stay so worthwhile. Check out Red Peppers’ Club izakaya for a delicious and quirky supper!

United StatesI would have appreciated If I could get my room earlier under the special flood circumnstance.
I chaecked in during a day that Typhone flooded the area- I was walking in the water and became all wet and decided to shorten my walk for that day. I arrived at the hotel about 3 hours before the formal check-in time and set at the lobby till check in time. Other than that wet experience all was well . A few hours later everything dried and I went out to a nearby convini to get some food. My room was in a high floor and had a nice city view, In the morning I had breakdfast in the dinning room buffet - paid extra. Buffet was good and tasty. I think it was my most fancy hotel in this current henro trip and I do not regret it.

JapanUnfortunately, Imabari Kokusai Hotel is very popular for Chinese people, which is why there are always a lot of Chinese guests, who are not behaving well. If they behaved a bit better, all other guests would feel a bit more comfortable. Despite that I do not have any complaints.
I am travelling to Imabari a lot for business and I am always trying to stay at Imabari Kokusai Hotel as I like it the most. The staff is very helpful and friendly, so that I always feel very comfortable. The Onsen inside is one of my favourite places and I am always enjoying it during my stay in the hotel.

United KingdomSpacious room, with a good view of the sea. Lovely spa, which was not included in my plan, but only 1100 yen per day, with multiple visits allowed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the ladies in the spa and reception staff who helped with my luggage transfer. Have already booked another visit.

AustraliaThe bed was awful. Too low and mattress was too hard. Older style Japanese Hotel so a little dated. Carpet torn in a few spots in my room.
Breakfast was so delicious. The view from my room overlooked the Seto Inland Sea with Imabari-jo in the foreground. The size of the room was amazing, so spacious.
