Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaFree drinks at times, the breakfast, the staff and the good nights sleep.
The rooms were quiet to sleep and comfortable beds. You can ask for a different pillow if the pillows provided are different to what you like (for women only) they have a full rack of them. Excellent dining area, with some free drinks ( local, wine and spirits if stocks are there) between 1700 & 2100. Heaps of different beers and other drinks in the machines right there. Super friendly staff, super best breakfast (Japanese style) but very lovely. We had a great stay.

JapanI had a very comfortable stay at Hotel KAN-RAKU. Staff were friendly and the room was attractively furnished and quiet. It was easy to relax here. I'm happy I finally got to stay here! I was due to travel to Akita in August last year, but for a number of reasons out of my control I was unable to. During this time, the staff were incredibly accommodating with my changing dates and eventual cancellation. When I had the chance to visit Akita again, I knew that I wanted to stay here as the staff had been so accommodating in the summer. I'm pleased to say that the staff here are just as welcoming and accommodating in person ☺️ The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the station and Senshū Park, the Akita Museum of Art and the Akarenga-kan museum are all within walking distance making it a great base to explore Akita city.

AustraliaYou should consider pre-booking a car park space for the hotel as there is limited availability - however, plenty of parking providers nearby.
The location was quite handy to the city centre with interesting food options nearby including a craft brewhouse and tasty bakery.

South AfricaBreakfast choice was mediocre in terms of selection choices.
The hotel is aptly located near Senhū Park, as well as restaurants like Izakayas - essential in a busy area. The hotel was lovely, you had your own bath or you could choose the public bath within the building itself. Breakfast being available is a good option as well. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Hong KongI wish they have more choices on breakfast. I saw on their website they have rice balls to offer only . so we didn't get the breakfast option. but nearby got plenty of restaurants, you could definitely find other breakfast options .
close proximity to train stations. lots of restaurants in the area. I like the room size , we pay for a bit extra for bigger room but we get to open our big luggages in our room for packing after shopping is nice. I find Japanese hotels tend to be very small room size if you don't pay a bit extra for bigger rooms . by the way, hotel sign on the building is in Japanese words. if you can't read Japanese you might need a bit extra time to locate the hotel.

United StatesIt is very unfriendly for non- Japanese tourist. Even the name of the hotel is in Japanese only, you can not see it from far a way, have to come to the front door to read the English version, staff barely speaks English, but very polite.
Breakfast was ok. Far from the city center, but there is a bus station near by.
