I wouldn't say that I didn't like it. Just in case others might be concerned: there was a slight musty smell in the room, reminiscent of dampness, even though the house itself was very clean and dry

We had a fantastic stay at this traditional-style vacation home near Asakusa. The location is unbeatable — just a short walk to Sensō-ji Temple, which made it easy to enjoy the area early in the morning or after the crowds had thinned out in the evening. There's also a 7-Eleven right around the corner, which was super convenient for grabbing snacks, drinks, or anything we forgot to pack. The location is also close to the Sumida Park and the Ueno Park, so that I got to enjoy my morning runs round the Ueno Park and along the Sumida River. The house itself is spacious, especially by Tokyo standards. It was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From the kitchen to the bathroom amenities and to the quiet washer/dryer, everything was thoughtfully prepared. The interior reflects traditional Japanese aesthetics, with tatami floors, sliding shoji doors, and ornaments that give the space an authentic yet cozy feel. It felt like we were getting a taste of old Tokyo while still enjoying modern comforts. We’d definitely stay here again — it’s the perfect blend of tradition, convenience, and comfort.

There wasn't much seating space in the living room, and what there was could have been more comfortable.

Lovely traditional home in Asakusa. It was in a good location, about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the shrine and the subway. The beds (futon mattresses) were comfortable. The house also had all the amenities expected. The owner was responsive.

It’s a tight squeeze to sleep 7 people in there, and it took 4 hours to run a load of laundry.

So comfortable, warm, spacious - the owner had thought of everything. Perfect for families - two toilet facilities, two rooms, two storeys. It was a gorgeous ryokan experience but in the heart of asakusa and walking distance from metro, samurai museum, sky tree tower, markets, etc.

It's a little bit of a walk (about 650m) to Asakusa Station but it's a main station with direct connections to both airports and the Ginza Line, plus it's pretty much in a straight line from the property so not at all hard to get to.

Traditional Japanese Ryokan that absolutely met all expectations. It was clean, extremely well appointed and roomy enough for a family of five. Unlike other vicinities in Tokyo, it wasn't noisy at night but was still close to local eateries, shops and shrines. It ticks all the boxes.

Futon in this house was hard. We slept on futon in another house in Kyoto, which was soft.

The house was practically shining when we arrived. Tasteful decorations, modern appliances, new furnitures, traditional design, impeccably clean. The futons were unbelievably soft and smooth. Host was very helpful and responsive to messages. Great location, only minutes walk to anything we needed.

I like the Japanese traditional look and feel of the house. there are two toilets and one bathroom. Living room television came with chromecast which allow us to play contents with our phones. The host contact me immediately after seeing the earbud which we lost in the house. Thank you again!

Literally nothing.

This place was amazing! Everything seemed brand new, clean, warm and comforting. Whatever you see in the pictures - it's nicer in real life. Everything was fully functional, every detail well thought out. It has a traditional artsy flare that enhances the experience of staying in s Ryokan. The location is great in Asakusa, 1 minute from a convenient store - and a few more minutes from shopping, markets, temples and transportation. Hosts were perfect, highly recommend.
