How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was great 👍☺️
Location was very central, just in the heart of city, very close to metro station. Staff was amazing, very helpful and accommodating. Special thanks to Miss Reetu 🙏 The hotel doesn’t have a kitchen but they provided breakfast from outside, served in the room. It was a varied options continental breakfast and was very tasty. Long story short, value for money

When you go out they will take your room key so i come back late time at 2 pm and i was knocked the glass for 30 min so some one come and open and give me my room key

Nothing to complain about. I will be back again
It’s cute and small. I love these hotels cause they can be taken care of more personally. It was super comfortable and clean. Loved the walk in shower which has a bath tub next to it. The bed was so comfortable I woke up late every morning that I slept so well. Right opposite a launderette and the staff were super nice.

Nothing to dislike with the price you get
This was a very well priced, clean and cozy room. It was close to the major shopping street and 5 min walk to nearest sub station. Staff was wonderful

Great location! Lots of eateries, night life and just 3mins walk to the nearest railway station. Room was spacious and clean complete with full amenities within the room. Even though it is situated by the road side and there are restaurants around, the room is virtually silent.

This lovely boutique hotel is just off the Main Street a few minutes walk from the market. We enjoyed our breakfast served in our room each morning to start off our day. The bathroom was large and very nice, beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious. Despite being close to all of the action the rooms were incredibly quiet. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

I can't think of anything unpleasant.
We stayed at this hotel for the second time, choosing it again due to its excellent location and very good conditions. The rooms are quite small, but they are excellently organized, so this is not disturbing at all. Cleanliness is exemplary and is maintained on a daily basis. The bathroom is modern and quite spacious, and the beds are very comfortable; the bed linen and towels are of good quality. A bonus is the spacious terrace featuring comfortable sofas, where smoking is permitted (a real luxury in Japan). Additionally, the hotel is located just a few minutes' walk from a subway/train station, making travel to neighboring cities very convenient.

Wonderful staff. So helpful. Property location terrific if wishing to stay centrally in the city near shopping and the marketplace. Room very comfortable and very quiet, even on the street side of the building. Very large bed for Japan equivalent to a king size elsewhere. Would be happy to return

Perfect position, at walking distance from the most popular market streets and Gion. Rooms are large and comfortable, breakfast is very kindly delivered to your room. Staff is friendly and always ready to help. Small but very well assorted bar, perfect to relax after a day going around.
