Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Jiro was very helpful and friendly. He kept an eye out for us even as we had problems communicating with him via the Internet and met us at the entrance to his alley as we arrived in the dark. We appreciated that. We also enjoyed the bikes he let us use

GermanyJiro is a great host and the place is well located. Both the beach and City Center are in walking distance (10-20 min). You can take the bus 31 on your arrival to get to Jiro‘s place. I had good conversations with him and in general a great time at Jiro‘s and in Kamakura.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jiro’s. I liked everything about it. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. Located in a quiet neighbourhood close to the beach. The room was spacious and comfortable. The amenities were good too. The wifi worked well. Jiro and his son made my stay very nice and enjoyable, they are the nicest people! I wish I could have stayed longer.
