Not too far from the Kamakura station, and like that the place has board games.

Friendly host Clean if a bit old Location good with very good bus service Good cost performance

The beds are very soft The security is so bad, the lock codes are all easy to guess so anyone could come in at any time It is old and some fixtures are broken

It was such a pleasure to stay at Jiro de kamarukra. For only one night I felt at home, loved the single bedroom, the kitchen, the shower.. I only wish I could have stayed longer. Jiro, again it was a pleasure to meet you! Thanks for the great hospitality, advice and conversation. Hopefully see you next time 🤙🏻

    Nothing.

Jiro is the most kind host ever! He will chat with you like you are friends for a couple years. We really felt comfortable staying here. It was also nice that we could borrow the bikes! It was like 10min bike to the beach :)

Jiro was very helpful and friendly. He kept an eye out for us even as we had problems communicating with him via the Internet and met us at the entrance to his alley as we arrived in the dark. We appreciated that. We also enjoyed the bikes he let us use

The location is a bit far from the train station, and the bus doesn't run as often after dark.

Breakfast you can make yourself in the community kitchen. Location had a small delightful village feel The real deal. Not touristy.

The only thing. Put a sign (if possible) pointing the way The little lane is almost impossible to find .

The hosts were wonderful and the location was quaint—a bit far from the main temple drag, but perfect for visiting the beach and east side of Kamakura!

Honestly if you want the best stay you could have in japan itself, this is place. Jiro is absolutely amazing and by the far the best person I've met in japan and he has created a life memory for me and my mate. We can't thank Jiro enough and I would absolutely come back to japan just to stay with jiro 11/10.

Everything was perfect. Our room was spacious, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The fact that there was even a Bialetti available for brewing coffee was a huge plus. Moreover, the staff were friendly and courteous.

    Nothing.

Jiro seems to be nice and friendly, room was quite clean.

I am not sure if the localization is good, as everything worth to see is on the other side of Kamakura. The room was really basic.

Jiro is a great host and the place is well located. Both the beach and City Center are in walking distance (10-20 min). You can take the bus 31 on your arrival to get to Jiro‘s place. I had good conversations with him and in general a great time at Jiro‘s and in Kamakura.
