How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Strange room layout, and strong odour in the bathroom.
Right in town. Lovely Japanese style room, and that hotel floor has a vending machine and mange corner with microwave etc. friendly front of house.

The bathroom smelled very badly and was very small; shower curtain feels gross; the provided pajamas had someone else's hair in it.

Our room was very small and very dated & in urgent need of a makeover. The bed was very small & barely big enough for 2 people, but to be fair it was advertised as a small double bed so that's my mistake.
Great location. Located on a lovely tree lined street but close to all the bars & restaurants of Kabukicho & Ichibancho. Staff were nice. Room was clean.

No way u will get into onsen with tattoos. Unleas u got small ince a will cover up.
Good space in the room and all what you need in a little kitchen. A sleeping wear was provided. Comftable for small grup of friends for a night or two.

The shower head was not the best for my opinion And the traffic light was so annoying the sound is so loud even when the window is closed the only good thing is that they turn it off and around midnight
The price was very good, near a train station a big mall and restaurants.

The staff at the front is not overly friendly. There is always that younger guy that is especially unfriendly. This was the case in both of my stays. Also it has an annoying system that you have to give your keys to the staff everytime you go out, so you might meet this kind of worker more often than you like.
It's not the first time in this hotel The first time though to book a tatami room. With this room you have a great view over Jozenjhi Dori and beautiful tree tops. It was much better than the normal room with a depressing backyard view. The price for this room is higher though. Great bathroom part that is like a complete separate room with a hallway. It could be seen as a little apartment with only the kitchen missing.

The room decor was quite old. Room was small, so only one chair for two people.
Location is ideal. Easy walk to the subway and just two stops from Sendai Station. It's on a beautiful main boulevard full of huge shade trees. Lots of good restaurants and shopping all around. Staff were very helpful and responsive.

Loud street, window doesn't do sound proof that much. Room is tiny, bathroom is tiny, I wear L size clothes, I feel I'm too big for the toilet and bathroom.
Location is great, next to all the nice tree street with lots of shops and restaurants. Check in was easy, price matches the room.

Wifi wouldn't connect, which we were warned about but still was a bummer. Toilet flushed weird, non heated seat like most other toilets in japan. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable.
Staff was super friendly and helpful, location was good. Loved having water kettle in room and lights close to the beds!

The wifi is not working. Or it it was, it was working with all kinds of problems.

Even though I know I booked a Smokers Room, because that was what it was disponible, the odor in the hallways was way too strong. At least in the room it wasn't that bad. There's no Coin Laundry near, you have to walk about 200 meters with you dirty clothes.
Good location, near a really turistic place. A bit far from the Sendai Station, but just 2 blocks from a Subway Station, accessible from Sendai Station, so not that bad. The price was really good for it's value.

Air conditioning units need to be cleaned
The staff were excellent. I had trouble with a bag delivery and they graciously fix the problem for me. They were very helpful and friendly altogether.
