Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesLocation is great and close to nearby the shopping area and attractions. The room size is not too small comparing with some of my previous experience.XD The washbasin, toilet, and shower room are separated. This is convenient for couples or families to use at the same time.

New ZealandThat we were on our way to find it after leaving the station, we were waiting for our portable WiFi to start so we could double check walking route, he took over and walked us behind where we had already walked to…it felt strangely wrong but we followed as he insisted. He took us to the JR Inn hotel Nikko. NO we said, this is not correct. Showed him the hotel name again on booking.com and he apologized and asked us to follow him to the correct one,.. 9 mins later we arrived at yet another JRinn. STILL not the correct one, hotel staff were helpful and said that the correct one was 15min walk away. Our ‘guide’ disappeared with a gift from us, but with much embarrassment . We taxied to the correct one only to find that we were so very close to it when we were ‘helped’. There were 3 JRInns that we could see from one intersection.
Our favorite thing was the onsen. Each time I used it I was the only one there. Breakfast was adequate but breakfast staff we not so welcoming.

SingaporeRoom can be bigger ;) Good to have USB charging points.
The room size is reasonable. Not much space to open our luggage, so we put one on the sofa and one on the table, then we have some space to walk around in the room. The sink is in the room outside the toilet, with a big vanity top to put things. Location is very good. The hotel is located in the middle between the shopping streets and malls near train station, accessible to both on foot, around 10-12 mins walk. Behind the hotel there is a car park, and our car rental company Times is just across the street. Many car parks and cafes opened in the morning for breakfast around the area. There are washing machines and dryers and a public bath (onsen) in the hotel but we didn't use. I like the self-serve area where you can take tea bags, comb, cotton buds, bath sponge for free. They don't put them in each room as not everyone will require all these. Some reception counter staff can speak very good English. The room is quiet and clean.

DenmarkThere’s a selection of different types of pillows that you can choose from and bring to your room, but when I went there at night, there weren’t any left. If you want to choose one, it might be best to do so at check-in.
It's within walking distance from both Sapporo Station and Odori. The interior is clean and simple. The room is stylishly minimal and more spacious than expected. There's a large public bath in the basement. I didn’t get to use it this time, but it's nice that there's a lounge in the basement and a Yayoi Ken restaurant on the first floor where breakfast is served.

IndiaThe room was quite small and a bit tight to move around in, which is typical for many hotels in Japan. The shower booth was also compact. The pillows were quite hard, although you can choose a pillow from the reception area, there were hardly any left when we checked. Also, the room had no view at all. The window faced a wall that was barely a foot away, which made the space feel even more closed in.
Breakfast was decent for a short stay, though the options were limited. They also have a public bathhouse (not an onsen). The place is within walking distance of Sapporo Station, so the location is quite convenient.

SingaporeI would say nothing much as this was a one night stay before traveling to another part of sapporo. It served its purpose of giving us a good night rest before having to set off pretty early the next day. The room may be a bit small/cramped for some as i understand it but since we were only there for a night we didn't open up our luggages, so for us space felt relatively okay.
The receptionist was very welcoming and patient as we spoke only English. Their other staff member, a man in charge of the in-hotel parking (where they have a lift to bring cars up to a higher floor) was also very helpful in directing us towards the lobby and where we should drop off our lugagge. There is an area downstairs where you can help yourself to shower amenities as well as choose a different pillow to the one they provide in the room. I was already ok with the room pillow but my family felt the pillows downstair were softer. Overall, it is a good location, walkable distance to odori park and sapporo station. The upkeep and maintenance generally quite clean with a spacious bathroom. Facilities also seem good like laundry/dryer machines in the basement but did not have time to try out those or onsen as we had an early start the next day so can't comment on quality of it.

CanadaI really appreciated the big bath in the basement, but I found it quite small and it felt crowded even with just 5-6 people there. Toilet in the room was clean, but slightly odorous.
Great value! Location is perfect to explore the inner city. It is also close from the train station for a day trip.
