Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe pillows…. Well um let’s just say I hope you don’t life soft pillows and beds but I assume this is a Japanese thing as most the hotels but 1 have those rock hard pillows.
Loved the location and the access to the ginza line, also it was super clean, our rooms were reasonably sized for Japan Also the breakfast is 10/10 here.

PortugalThe room was small, with little space to open the luggage and almost no space to put clothes or other items. The hotel doesn't let that you use the lobby to eat or drink in the lobby, therefore you had to go to your room for any meal you would need to do. The bed wasn't super confortable.
The entire hotel was very new and clean, the 7-Eleven at the ground floor was very useful and the hotel was well located - we were less than 30min away by subway from any location we wanted to visit and the surrounding area had a lot of retaurant options and activity at the end of the day. Amenities were also very good and useful.

BelgiumRoom was quite small, but it is probably a standard for Tokyo. Other than that no complaints.
Great location in a cool neighborhood with access to metro stations. Room was clean, additional amenities were nice (complementary razors etc.) and a nice onsen. Instructions on onsen use were helpful as newcomers. Also the 7/11 in the building was quite helpful.

NetherlandsNo gym No swimming pool. They have a bath house where you can go naked with the same gender. So this was not interesting for my teenage boys. Very small rooms. (Thank God I am also a small woman). But I guess its because its Tokyo. Tip: add more hooks and small shelves near the desk. So guests can hang toiletries bag and other things.
Great location with 7 eleven connected to the hotel. Washing machines/dryer included you can pay with 100 yen coins. AC working good Hard pillows, which I like. Friendly staff Everyday fresh PJ’s. No need to bring your PJ’s.

United StatesIt was enough space for a night but if our room was a bit bigger, it would have been an exceptional stay!
We loved the location as it is close to two different subway stations and several great restaurants near by. The staff is friendly and our room was quite clean and met our needs.

BelgiumWould be nice to have some extra washing machines to prevent long wait lines.
Liked the location and room itself. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. The location is a bit further away from center but has a very good connection with subways/trains. Big station is also 15min carride away so pretty good.

AustraliaVia Inn Prime was an exceptional stay. The staff were friendly and helpful from check in all the way to check out and in between. They helped organise luggage forwarding with no hesitation. We added breakfast on during last night and it was well worth it. The room was standard Tokyo size however the reviews I had read made them out to be way smaller than they actually were. The location is so great with 3 train stations around and walking distance to the great area as well as having the convenience of 7/11 underneath the hotel. We loved our stay so much we cancelled our next Tokyo accommodation to have another stay here

CanadaEvery thing was perfect
We are a family of four, and this was our first trip to Japan—so every detail truly mattered. Via Inn Prime Akasaka exceeded our expectations, offering outstanding service that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The amenities were excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to personalize our experience. When my son accidentally left his red blanket behind, the hotel promptly arranged to have it shipped to our next destination in Osaka. That thoughtful gesture absolutely made our day. We’re deeply grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Tokyo.

So if thinking of using luggage transfer via hotel, contact them early / upon arrive and do not send online enquiry. Go to front desk
