There is only one bathroom, the room can feel a bit cold and humid, if not eating at the restaurant you may have to hang out in the hot sun outside. Would be nice to have a vegan option on the menu.

Kagelow is an easy 10 minute walk from the bus and train station and Fuji can be seen from the street. The facilities themselves are very comfortable with a relaxing outdoor seating area and cool air conditioned dorm with large lockers. The cafe also serves as a communal space. Staff were also very friendly and helpful

This hotel is perfectly located, very modern, clean, and stylish. It has a beautiful garden and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

There were some imperfections in terms of the facilities here and there but nothing very deal-breaking / stands out.

Pretty good vibes overall, it’s both a dining establishment & a hostel, so it’s nice that you could always eat back at the hostel if you want. Staff was friendly, gave good food recommendations. It’s very walkable from the station as well, so that’s a plus!

The convenient location but away from the crowds; the modern, spacious layout and facilities, the garden and terrace. The restaurant seemed popular with the other guests but I didn't have the opportunity to try it.

Lights by the dormbed is quite dim. Maybe make it lighter?

This is a chill place with a beautiful bar. The fusion food id delicious. The bed is good. The building is like half Japanese and half modern, making it very stylish. I especially enjoy the scents the hotel use in the bathroom. Smells soooo good. Good Taste.

I would suggest installing a shelf for each bed, this would help with organising the personal belongings. Also, I would have preferred a bigger towel. It was very small. :)

The staff is very nice and welcoming. The location is amazing, beautiful design. The location is good, about 12 minutes from the bus station.

Second time staying at Kagelow, this time in the private room and I loved it as much as I did the first time! The room was so spacious and had everything we needed, including a view of Mount Fuji right outside our window. We were here for 3 days and saw the elusive Mt Fuji every morning. The kitchen had very comprehensive utensils which we utilised during our stay, and the cafe area is soo cosy. Perfect for sitting on the deck for breakfast in the sun, or snuggling on the couch with a book in the evenings. The staff were chill too.

The wooden wall is too thin can’t protect noise from outside, also wooden floor made very noisy while walking.

I wish they put blinds on the windows because I wake up late and the sky is too bright.

Incorporated with a restaurant and bar, I could find food conveniently even others have closed down. The toilet seat is exceptional. It has regular showers and bath. My bunkbed has outside view. Spacious for storing personal items. The bed was soft and nice. Very clean overall.

The room got very hot. The café was open in the afternoon when most guests were probably exploring the area, but unfortunately not in the morning for breakfast - perhaps the opening times could be switched.

The view of Mt Fuji is great and you get to enjoy it away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Everything is still nearby and you can easily walk to the station and lake. Very aesthetic. Dinner was European-style - we enjoyed the matcha ice cream!

Great hostel with good facilities (bed + room). This hostel gives off a very great vibe with wooden chairs, table. I also like the shampoo and shower gel here, very good quality, also the hairdryer is also provided. The bathroom is super clean and staff are all helpful
