We were honestly very disappointed by the experience. We had a superior room with private bath. We were expecting dinner inside the room but dinner is not possible in the rooms. The private bath is TINY. Impossible to be 2 inside. The breakfast was not served in the room either. And it wasn’t good, we barely ate anything. Given the price we were not happy with the experience.

Taking the location into account, the hotel is quite nice, really authentic but a bit expensive comparing to other hotels in town. The view is awesome so if you want to just stay at a hotel this is the perfect place.

The room Japanese style is awesome. Everything clean and cozy. The bathroom was new or very well maintained. Each day they gave us cookies which were delicious. The staff was very nice and helpful and even one employee could speak some Portuguese words. The breakfast in Japanese style was very good.

It is a bit far away from center.

People were professional, the common bath was clean and had views to the city (had to stand a bit though). Private tub on the balcony is a nice touch. Lots of things to try out: Japanese guitar, juggle balls, etc... Great place to run in the mornings

I think the photos are really well taken but, and just my opinion, I feel it lacks a bit of charm when outside. The river is OK but not amazing looking. Breakfast was fine with a bit of choice but could have done with a few more options. And I found it a bit pricey for what we got. Yes the room was big, but the hotel is a bit far from the centre, the castle or the market. In summer, keep in mind you'll need to use taxis to get there and leave.

The room was spacious, beautiful, and well equipped. The view of the river is stunning. The bedding and bath were very comfortable, and the utilities and amenities provided were convenient and greatly appreciated. The staff were all lovely, kind, efficient, and very helpful. I was advised to visit the 21st Century Museum as I was going to Kenroku-en Garden, and I'm glad I did, as it was very interesting! The breakfast was wonderful and fresh, with a great variety. I appreciate that ingredients/allergy information was clearly displayed, as I am a vegetarian.

This place felt like an authentic Japanese, tranquil paradise, especially after the bustle of bigger cities. The attention to detail really made this hotel stand out.

    No cons!

The hotel was clean, quiet, had a great view of the river and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was fantastic as well. Short walk to Kanazawa city.

Beautiful room and very helpful staff

Location is a little out of the main action - no restaurants close by but we were provided with a list from the lovely staff

We loved our stay at Yuyaruru Sai Sai. The staff were lovely. We stayed in the Japanese style room which was very spacious and comfortable. There was a nice indoor onsen. The breakfast was really good - mostly Japanese style food but there were also some Western options (bread, yoghurt, eggs) if that’s not your thing. It’s located close to a bus stops that takes you through the circuit including all the best tourist sites - Kenrokuen garden, castle, Omicho market, Samurai district and teahouse districts. Can also be a reasonable walk in good weather. We got an uber from the station to the hotel, which wasn’t expensive. They have free parking as well.

    Nothing.

A fantastic property. The worst element is also its strength: it's a bit far from other places you may want to go. However, it's also right by the river, so you get a fantastic view from any room you book. Beyond having a solid breakfast and excellent rooms, what really stood out to me as a feature was the additional random items you can play around with. There's a shamisen by the front desk you can learn to play, there were juggling balls in the room to learn to juggle, and there were some lovely local sweets as a welcome gift.

A bit far from transit. Nothing they can really do about it, the roads there are fairly narrow. They can still arrange a taxi for you quite easily.

Breakfast was good. The location is a little far from the Kanazawa station but it is walkable to many tourist spots.

It was absolutely wonderful! The building was on the river's edge with a walking path. The facility provided a well-rounded breakfast. There were umbrella's to borrow if it rained. The room was huge and it felt more like an apartment even though there wasn't a kitchen. A kettle with continuous hot water was in a corner with cups and tea. Every day there was a new treat on our main table. The bathroom was a 3 part area. We were instructed to wear slippers and not street shoes inside which was a super way to keep the floors clean (traditional thing). When we had to leave our next destination, the front desk called a taxi that appeared within minutes.

Breakfast very good. Room was a suite. Garden and outdoor onsen were exquisite. Staff friendly and helpful.

Laundry was not easy. Dryer took forever.
