The mattress in the japanese-style room was not as comfortable as I thought. The air-con at night were either too hot or too cold (especially when the wind blew directly at us).

Breakfast was great! Dinner was served in the room. Things were tasty, staff was nice! The facilities were all clean and easy to use. The public bath was great too!

I am not use to sleep on the floor and personally I prefer high bed because it is easier for me to get up and down. However, overall experience with Japanese style bed was a good experience.

The hotel room was comfortable but seemed older than in the pictures Perfect location, right in front of the lake and within 15’ walk from the train station The public and private baths on the top floor, overlooking the lake, were superb The corridor on the top floor has a Mt. Fuji view, which is amazing - especially if you’re lucky enough to see Fuji-san right after taking a bath

They should offer tours around the mt fuji area, at least give info on how to get from point a to b. Otherwise as a tourist if you dont have a car, its hard to travel around.

Really unique experience staying here. Tattoo friendly onsen which was great! The staff were all very kind and accommodating. Nao was excellent at her job. She showed us how to use everything in the room and was warm and helpful when we had any questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here to anyone.

in room dinner service, best ryokan experience. i do not eat beef, and they made special arrangement for me. the onsen have 2 options for you to choose, location is just as good as it can get, lake view is definitely better as you can see fuji from anywhere else in the town

There was a bad smell of urinf in our toilet in our room which we mentioned to staff. They came and cleaned the toilet again but it was not gone.

Staff were amazing. Onsen was old skool but felt clean and well maintained. Feeling of peace around the hotel in general.

The area is very touristy. We were really fortunate to have great views of Mount Fuji but not sure what else we’d have done. But this doesn’t detract from how lovely the hotel was

At first we were unsure about the location, although it’s on the Lake the approach to it is very touristy but the view of Mount Fuji from the top floor made up for it. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We paid extra for a large room with our own bathroom and it was beautiful (we didn’t pay extra for the view but that didn’t bother us). We paid for the private onsen which we loved, view over the lake & the hills was lovely. The dinner in the private dining room was fun…there are a lot of courses. Allow time for breakfast as we had to rush ours to catch the train.

The staff were helpful, but a little standoffish (aside from the young woman working in the gift shop who was very friendly). The somewhat cold interactions may have simply been from the busy nature of the location.

We were on the same floor as the gym and had one day where someone started deadlifting at 1 am wich was kind of a inconvenience and not really the properties fault, it was only once
