Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamI am impressed by their service. Though they cannot speak English, they try to find way to understand us and find the way to support us. The room is not new but very clean. I will come back this hotel.

United KingdomThe building is showing its age a few tired spots, but didn't diminishe the experience. Breakfast, the selection is huge but the quality could be a bit better, it was adequate to get you going in the morning.
The location is great on a clear day the vista from the room was amazing and the tip of Mt Fuji can be seen. The private onsen was very good and got frequent use. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Dinner in a private room was a nice experience with some of the food prepared in front of you.

FranceThe hotel is old and our bathroom could do with some renovation. Not that it mattered much because thanks to the onsen we didn't use it much.
I liked the comfort, the super friendly staff and the great food. We went for the kaiseki in a private room as we had a guest visiting Japan for the first time, and they couldn't believe the food quality and the service. The food was delicious and the lady who served us was very friendly, in particular with our kids. I don't think that the staff can speak English but that's not an issue in our case. We took a Japanese room, which was very spacious, comfortable and clean. the onsen was also very nice. I would absolutely go back to that hotel again.

SpainIt was a bit hard to communicate with the stuff due to language barrier, but they were very friendly and did their best.
The hotel had a lot of great things - it had spa, onsen, great outfits provided, a very good souvenir shop and an amazing drum performance in the evening! The room was quite large for Japanese standarts! It had an autentic Japanese vibe, I would recommend this for a laid back day after lots of walking and sightseeing.

MexicoOnly one of the public bath areas had a cold water pool. It would be nice if the balcony in the room was accessible (windows are blocked).
Dinner and breakfast were really worth it. Delicious, traditional food, and a lot of it! The room was probably the largest I have stayed in Japan. I loved the design of their Yukatas.

SingaporeAlthough we had informed about the halal diet, but the staffs incharged of the rooms still gave us biscuits, sweets, snacks that were not halal, even that included pork as ingredients. We just have to do our own due diligence. The SPA was advertised alot, almost everywhere in the hotel, but there were not enough staff to provide the service.
Room: Huge for a couple. Private onsen is always flowing, very calming, enjoyed the mini waterfall. Breakfast: Plenty of food, but limited halal options. Default to bread, rice, salmon, mackerel, egg, the usual. Dine at your discretion. Dinner: Took the half board kaiseki course. Arranged in advance, was served seafood delicacies like lobsters, abalone. Chefs cooked some right at the table. Excellent!

JapanHonestly, the facilities are a little bit on the old side and certain less traversed sections are definitely rough around the edges. That said, it never felt unsafe and the staff ensured that the property always felt warm and welcoming.
Breakfast at the location was fantastic - Very well done and a definite highlight of the property. The staff did an excellent job ensuring a wide variety of food was available to meet all breakfast desires. We stayed multiple nights and the dinner menu noticeably changed and was different from the other guests that were on their first night's meal. We also had a chance to sample the local specialty of the Kofu region - Houtou udon - without leaving the hotel.

SingaporeHope the hotel will update their deco & upgrade their air con system in the public areas. May the receptionist @ check in counter able to be more friendly.
To my surprise, this hotel has many innovative devices (LED TVs, Coffee Machines, Hand dryers, Dehumidifiers, light sensors & AI toilet bowl ) in my room although my 1st impression was back to the 70's when I entered the hotel. Loved the in-room onsen, wish I can bring the tub home. The room flooring was super shinning & clean. The wide range of international breakfast buffet was very delicious & the staff was very helpful. Trolley was provided to help the elderly to select their food @ the breakfast hall & they even supply a nail cutter in the room. Very enjoyable stay in a sort of hotel cum rokyan!

JapanNothing, it was the nicest Ryokan I've ever stayed in.
This Ryokan is amazing! The service was incredible, the food was incredible, the room and view were incredible. The beds were comfortable and you could choose a pillow type. Sanda provided easy-to-understand Japanese instructions. We got Este services and massages, both were great. The dinner and breakfast were amazing and worth the charge. We had the private hot spring in our room which was easy to use and beautiful. Oh and there was a brief taiko demonstration that was really, really good! There's a combini on-site, so don't bring in outside food or drinks. You won't need them anyway!
