How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

- stayed in mid april, too cold. The aircon in the room could not warm the bed enough. - the humidifer needs to be repaired or replaced. It makes sound every hour or so loud enough to wake me up midnight so i had to turn it off everytime
Close to the city center, few minutes walk to the nearedt subway station. The bed is comfy and the value is unbeatable.

It’s in a quite frequented place, easy to go anywhere from here. The hostel itself is very small but cozy enough, I definitely can recommend especially for the price:)

Not much of a communal atmosphere. The warmth from the heater didn't reach into the bunk beds so it was quite cold. I had everything I practically needed but it all looked a little slap dash (not that important I know).
Ken was really great at communicating with me when my flight got cancelled twice. The location was great.

The only downside, bed is not entirely covered, and the bright morning light goes through and wakes you up too early.
Place is relatively clean and very quiet . I was quiet nervous at first but turns out ok. A good distance away from the busy center with convini close by. Met Mr. Ken and he was lovely and kind . A nice stay all in all .

It is about a mile walk from Sapporo Station, the bus takes a while to get here so it is best to walk here (20-25 min walk).
Easy check-in and check-out. It’s very quiet and peaceful from the hustle and bustle of Sapporo. Comfortable and roomy stay, I appreciate the option to wash laundry, and there is a lot of storage space.

It was an overall really pleasant experience, just not a fan of those kind of bunk beds with little ventilation.
Ken was really nice and welcoming and the place was quite clean!

Very cozy. The bed is in a wooden frame that smells good. There is an extra storage alcove in the bed and under the bed.

Great location. Did not have to interact with staff; easy check in. Dorm bed was spacious and comfier than most hostels I’ve stayed in for Japan. Kitchen is just a hot plate. Great price for the accommodation. Very clean.

The kitchen is very minimal so it might be a struggle if you plan cooking for yourself
Nice cosy hostel with just a few rooms. It was quiet and relaxing. The ooms are small but with private cubible with light and socket. its close to Susukino and not far from underground station

In the A dormitory the top bunks are not completely dark in the morning.
Fantastic, cosy hostel within a 10 minute walk of Susukino and Nijo market. The hostel has 2 dormitories, 2 shower rooms, 2 toilets and a common room. There is also free laundry services. The hostel is super clean and quiet. It's a great place to stay either as a solo traveller or as part of a group.

The exposed ceiling n fan of my 2F bed. It looked disgusting n unhealthy. I want the host to cover them with fabric or wooden panel.

Luggage storage needs to be reserved (just something to keep in mind) Form to fill out up front with personal data was a bit of a trouble but therefore self check in is available and Ken is really helpful.
