Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanEverything was wonderful! The interior design was creative (I love it very much♥️), the location was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Without any language barriers, the place felt just like home. I even spotted a book on the shelf that I had read back when I was in Taiwan!

United KingdomIt is very friendly, simple and clean and comfortable. The spaces are modest and they are all shared - which is what I was expecting. I slept better there than in a much fancier hotel the night before!

FinlandThe common kitchen area was a bit small, but it was never overcrowded when I was visiting.
The dormitory solution where the lower bunk is your private office/chill out space is innovative and very nice. The beds are also comfortable. The location is very central and convenient and the staff was friendly and made checking in super easy.

AustraliaNothing to note other than that it was really quiet (obviously not the guest house’s fault!).
Lovely staff, short (15min) walk from station, only stopped over in Takamatsu for a night to go to a concert but was pleasantly surprised. Everything was really clean, well supplied, nice balcony area on the top floor, bed was super comfy and probably the best design of hostel I’ve seen yet in japan - the little desk on the bottom was great.

CanadaLocation was perfect. Access to three different rail lines nearby, several bus routes converge through the immediate area, lots of restaurants, lots of shopping, and an art museum. The hostel consisted of several floors with a couple of family rooms, and two small dormitories. There was also a shared kitchen with a dining area.

AustraliaCat cafe was closed. Common area really small and feels cramped even if there are 2 people there at the same time. The bunks are like echo chambers due to the wooden construction - you can hear every movement or rustle that anyone else makes.
Clean small hostel. Free laundry on the roof. The space under the bunk with a desk was great for changing, storing luggage or working. Shower and sink in the dorm was very convenient. Toilets outside the dorms - they're the best in Japan!

It's a very lovely and nice place. The owner and staff are friendly and gave me a lot of useful information. I really like the little private space under the bed. Laundry is free. 10-15 minutes' walk to the port and train station. It's a great place to explore takamatsu and those islands in seto inland sea. Highly recommended.

SwitzerlandThere is really nothing to complain at all.
I highly recommend this hostel! The owners definitely invested a lot of love and care into this place. The rooms are not cramped as in other hostels and there is so much space. What you get in a dorm, is a box bed, with a lower and an upper a floor, where you can sleep upstairs and have your own little private space in the bottom. That's really nice to sit or just layer out all your luggage. The staff and owner are also really nice and helpful. There's a really big and well equipped kitchen. And you can chill on the roof top, where you can also hang your laundry with a laundry machine and a dryer next to it. I can only highly recommend this place. And if you're into cat: there's a cat café on the ground floor with two beautiful Sphinx cats.

FranceThe door to the dorm was particularly noisy so I felt I bothered everybody everytime I entered and left the room.
It was conveniently located, cute and clean. I particularly enjoyed that you get a personal space under your bed and the free washing machine.

FranceI was pleasantly surprised to see that each person has access to two levels of a bunk bed, where the lower level can be used to put stuff or spend some quiet time (sitting down, it's not tall enough to stand up). This is more than I was expecting! Everything was very clean and it was overall a very pleasant stay. The location was also conveniently close to the train station, as well as the covered shoutengai.

SpainThe place is modern, but a bit impersonal, the sleeping space is ok but there is light entering the bed space, which is open on top so you get the neighbours light and they get yours. Not much contact with the personal. Functional though.

CanadaCommon area was fine, as I didn’t spend much time in the hostel, but there wasn’t anywhere to relax/hang out except the kitchen table. It was fine since there were only a few guests at the time, but it would be too crowded with more than 3 people
Good location, clean, quiet, comfortable duvet and mattress, nice shower
