I really enjoyed my stay at Kotori. It was in a good location, the co-working and co-living facilities were great and the staff were super friendly, I had a really nice chat with Carol. The bed was so comfy and the room I stayed in was huge!

The co working space was alright but bot big and had only small tables.

Everything was clean and the beds were big and comfortable.

Nothing. It was great!

Self check in was easy and staff were very responsive and helpful when I asked about shipping my luggage to Osaka. I stayed in a big dorm, but it was quiet and clean, and the way the beds are arranged gives you lots of privacy despite being in the dorms. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again!

It was a bit pricey for a hostel.

A wonderful place to stay with a great location. It was nice that I could leave my bag before and after checking in and out. Comfortable bed and clean facilities. The free laundry was appreciated.

Awesome place. I went in February which seemed to be the off season. There weren’t many people staying here. But Takamatsu seemed to be a little bit off the beaten path for the typical foreign travel route. This city has so much potential and I hope to see more people come here and stay at this hostel in the future! This hostel company has a few different hostels in the more popular parts of Japan, so perhaps they see the potential of this area as well. There was tons of great things to do around, I ended up island hopping and found so many cool things! This property was great and i really recommend it.

The location is a bit tricky, given a lot of people has a JR pass, Ritsurin JR station is likely the starting and ending place of your day but it looks like the train to and from Takamatsu station is not running that frequent Walking to takamatsu station would need around 30mins. But it is not the fault of the hostel, and that’s why it is so cheap

The facilities are in good condition, the bath room is clean and large enough for a relaxing bath They even offer drip bag coffee in the common room which is very rare for a hostel

The location is a little bit far from the train station and port, but it's near a shopping gallery and restaurant area.

Large and spacious rooms, bathroom area with all facilities. Shared cooking/dining/living space with plenty of space to eat or work or lounge around. Very clean and nicely decorated.

Nothing not to like

Staff didn't get a like as it's all automated check in. Very easy, so that's a plus.. Quiet and simple, would recommend. A distance from the station, but everything else close to hand. And it's hard to rate the size of your room in a hostel. The bed space and security box were adequate

It wasn't the most comfortable we've stayed so far, but guess ok for what you can expect from a hostel

Easy check in all information send very clearly days before arrival, easy and smooth. Accomodation it's oks, it has everything you can expect from a hostel.... Nice and full equiped kitchen and the restroom facilities were very complete and clean.

The light in the rooms was kind of consuming and dark, self check in was not intuitive after a long journey, and the dryer didn’t work very well.

When I spent time in the coworking space the staff was really nice, the communal area was great, and the beds were comfortable.

Location was great, very walkable to everywhere we wanted to see. Check-in was easy - done via an ipad but a staff member kindly helped us when I was struggling to load the email with the details on my phone (due to my own poor data coverage). The room was spacious, clean and had a cool minimalist design. Shower/bathroom facilities and kitchen were also very clean and nice.

The place is beautifully maintained! It is quiet, tidy and clean, with that hint of an aesthetic touch that makes you feel at ease. The staff is friendly and courteous. Hard to find anything better, one of the best hostels I have stayed in :)

Given the price of a private room, I would have liked a small mirror in the room...

Beds weren’t that comfortable :(

Lovely staff, use of the washing machine was a plus and they provided detergent, small dorms only sharing with one or 3 others which makes it quieter. Great location - near the shopping street but 25min walk to the station however there is a train you can catch which is close by

staff was really nice. all areas were clean and tidy. it was a very comfortable stay, even common areas felt like home. it's possible to cook and do laundry. it's a quiet place. they also have a self check-in system.
