Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandCan't find anything.
We stay for a night and it was fantastic. We got the window room where we can see the outside. The opposite shop to the ryokan is the supermarket. The room is surprisingly spacious! The room comes with toilet, not bath. But you can use the private onsens in basement of the ryokan. The staff was really helpful and polite. We recommend getting breakfast with your stay since the town is a small town and shops might not be open early in the morning when you possibly be hungry. Even though there is a family mart 2-3 min-walk from the Ryokan. Shops and restaurants outside mostly closed during our stay. Only the restaurant opposite the Ryokan was opened until around 9-10 pm. For people with tattoos, this ryokan has 2 private fantastic onsen without reservation, you can use it almost 24 hours (there is 2-3 hours that they won't be operated for cleaning, I guess.) For all onsens outside, you can enjoy for free because you will get an onsen pass that allow you to enjoy the 7 mystical onsens for free and all of the 7 onsens all people of tattoos (I mean very very obvious ones arms, legs, backs, etc.) without the need to cover them up.

AustraliaFabulous accommodation in the centre of Kinosaki Onsen and just minutes from the station. Friendly staff from the wonderful team at reception to the always smiling staff at the cafe. Treat yourself to the multi course dinners the chef prepares because the food is truly amazing complimented by a very reasonably priced wine list. Very clean private Onsen rooms onsite. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on ! Another bonus.

BrazilThe room was a bit dusty and I had some allergies while staying there. Nothing serious, though.
Great staff and selection of yukatas. Room was quite big and comfortable. Happy hour with free drinks and snacks every night. Breakfast was delicious and the chef was quite friendly. Bossa Nova playing on the speakers made me feel right at home. Private baths are superb. Close to most of the bath houses, restaurants and stores, Koyado Enn is a great option for people who want to be at the heart of Kinosaki. Tattoos allowed!

United StatesThe traditional Japanese room was not comfortable - requesting additional pillows was difficult, the rooms were loud and very bright. But we still enjoyed the experience!
Incredible place! The breakfast and dinner were AMAZING, the private onsens were readily available and beautiful, and the staff was absolutely above and beyond. Fabulous location, beautiful town, loved the lounge and the music etc. The room was spacious and had lots of fantastic amenities, and we enjoyed the hell out of our matching yukatas and their coats.

United KingdomNothing - all was incredible.
Amazing stay. Absolutely blown away by this wonderful place. Traditional room which was extremely spacious (almost felt like an apartment with a bedroom, toilet, balcony, sitting room). The onsen on site is private with no extra cost or booking required and was wonderful. Traditional yukata to wear with wooden shoes and overcoat as required. All onsens close by and walking distance with access from check-in time to 1pm on check-out day! Some of the onsens are open until 23:00 so even if you get there later you can still enjoy. Downstairs lounge with complimentary drinks was an unexpected bonus and they also catered to vegan and vegetarian! Overall the first days of our Japan holiday the bar was set extremely high. Our only regret was not spending longer at Koyado Enn!

NorwayBreakfast was served at the café at the bottom floor, you get a full tray of delicious food! Café here also had happy hour later in the day for hotel guests! Hotel staff was amazing, our tatami room was amazing, and they carried all our luggage for us! At some point I lost my passport, and the staff went out of their way to help me find it. Truly wonderful people. Hotel also has two private onsen baths, and we tried them both! No reservations, just wait until it's available and try not to occupy it longer than 40 min. You also get yukatas, obi belts, haori jackets (if it's cold), tabi socks and geta sandals to wear during your visit. Umbrellas and rain boots are available to borrow if it's raining. We're going back to Koyado Enn on our next visit! Definitely a highlight of our honeymoon! It was such a special and lovely hotel! 🥰
