Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongA first rate small hotel. Perfect for a night before and after climbing Mt Fuji. Great team who advised me on onward train travel. The washing machine and dryer enabled me to clean my heavy duty climbing clothes and the team helped me dispatch these to the last hotel in my stay so I don't have to lug them around for 5 weeks. The complimentary drink is a bonus and the breakfast more than enough. Very convenient to the Fuji shuttle bus and directly across the road from the train station.

Czech RepublicSome staff members can speak English to some extent, the others not really, which can be a problem if you need to clarify some non standard situations.
Great location, right next to the train and bus station from which the buses for Mt. Fuji depart. Good service, clean facilities, great breakfast, nice onsen. And even a free welcome drink, which was a nice touch. Very comfortable beds. They were very accommodating when we needed to leave our luggage at the hotel when we climbed Mt. Fuji and stayed overnight on the mountain (no extra charge!).

GermanyFujinomiya as a town is not an idyll, just a small and nice hub to start for Fuji. We liked both the hotel and the town as people are friendly though English is not often understood

United KingdomCheck with the reception what is a good time to have breakfast. As in any hotel the space can get crowded at certain times. However, I witnessed a queue to get into breakfast area.
Baths in the hotel were nice add on.

United KingdomRoom was very small but comfortable.
Located next to the train and bus station. We stayed prior to climbing Mount Fuji and the bus for the Fujinomiya 5th Station was outside of the hotel. Staff agreed to hold our cases until we return the next day. Good facilities but a basic budget hotel.

South AfricaWe're more than happy with the location, the hotel, staff and facilities. We can definitely recommend it. Close to the Mall, Bus and Train Station, making it easy to commute around town. On our last day they offered storage facilities, while we went on to explore a bit more

ThailandThe hotel location is just the opposite of Jr station so it is quite convenient after arriving from the long journey you can check in very fast. I'd like to welcome drink in the afternoon that offer a variety of drinks that suit your taste. Room is small but that's a standard in Japan. This hotel also offer onsen located on the first floor. The outside one is quite nice especially in winter time when I was there.

JapanHere at Booking they consider children up to 17 years old (they have this option), so I put my daughter and 3 adults, and the system gave me the option of 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each, so I booked those options... However, at check in the attendant (woman), charged us ¥3,200 more, claiming that my daughter is no longer a child, for the same room with the same 2 single beds, which would make no difference if she is 12 or 17 years old. It's not about the money, but about the terrible service and the way they imposed the payment knowing that we would have no choice.

JapanWe really didn't like that the hotel didn't have a view of Mount Fuji. We asked to be accommodated with a view of Fuji. Our wish was not fulfilled. It is also unclear why the fee is for 1 day, and check-in is at 15:00, and check-out is at 10 am. It is unclear why this is so and it was inconvenient.
I liked the location of the hotel near buses and trains. I liked the breakfast, it was delicious. The hotel has toothbrushes, there are care products for women. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Everything is of good quality. It is very convenient that there is a large shopping center next to the hotel, where there are many restaurants and a grocery store.
