Good location, loved the onsen in our room and also the private onsen facilities that they had :) I also enjoyed the dinner, we stayed for 2 nights and the food varied between both nights (first night was beef steak on a hotplate, and second night was sukiyaki which I loved). Facilities were good and well maintained, staff was excellent and well trained

Clean, well kept property with excellent staff. Comfortable bed. Excellent food. Our room also had outdoor private bath and sitting area. Very relaxing.

I really private Onsen hotel with great bathing facilities and wonderful food! Spacious rooms, and of course the private onsen on the balcony!

The communication in English is not always smooth. Especially when you want to know more about the amazing food and their ingredients, you don't always get the information as the English of the staff was quite limited.

Large and open resort right on the river. Good option for several baths.

Very special place with a traditional japanese things, like onsen baths, hosting and meals! Very recommended to try this experience.

Nothing about the property. Onsens are for relaxation and quiet. A couple bringing their two year old to break the serenity of the environment was selfish of them.

Beautiful room, friendly staff. Location next to the river, which gives extra tranquility to your stay. We had a room with private bath, which temperature you can adjust to your liking. Rooms have more than enough space, refreshments were available to use (water, tea and coffee). Hotel is 10min walking distance from the bus stop (hotel will pick you up when you arrive + bring you back), also 10min to the town centre with all the shops. Kaiseki dinner (14 small courses) and breakfast was included. You get the option to choose between beef or non-beef (chicken and pork) for dinner, no vegan only option. All meals at dinner are shortly explained in English, aside from Japanese. Staff helps with explanation and needs (English and Japanese).

Since there is no vegan or vegetarian dinner/breakfast available, it might be a bonus to consider.

Everything was spectacular: the room, the private Onsen we had, the mixed Onsen, the food, the workers... Everything exceeded our expectations

We had a small house. Our neighbors were very loud (we believe it was a group of young guys), which made the stay not as pleasant, since some of the walls were literally made of paper. They woke us up shouting at like 1am and I tried to find someone in the reception to complain to, but couldn't find anyone... I ended up shouting at them and they went kind of quiet. I didn't subtract any points for that, because it's not the hotels fault that some people are just unpolite and don't respect others rest

Staying at the Oku no Yu was a truly special experience. The hotel is located at the end of a small valley, close to the stream and is very peaceful. The room was spacious, beds very comfortable and all amenities needed were provided. The breakfast and dinner are delicious, the staff very attentive, the baths very relaxing and located close to the stream. Private baths are also available for no extra fee - great if you seek some more privacy.

Breakfast and the dinner were good. The service was also good. However, the English level is not good enough to communicate with clietns.

This is Probably one of the Best Hotels I Ever Stayed in. Everything was beautfiul and Great. The food was amazing and very Tasty. The Service was absolutely nice and very helpful. Really amazing stay.
