Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThey are free standing bunk bed with pull down black out blinds on the bottom or curtains up top. I was on the top bunk. The guest on the top bunk across from me had her light on from 5am- 2am every day and night. The room was day time bright all the time and made it hard to get a good sleep. I asked her to turn off the light but she would turn it back on 15min later.
The hostel was very clean and cute. The cafe/bar was very hip and well decorated. You are not allowed to sit in it unless you purchase and item from the cafe /bar

SingaporeWe stayed for 1 night with 3 school going kids. The location is great, inside the market/arcade and within 30mins from the road, so taking a taxi wasn’t too hard from the hotel. There is also plenty of nearby parking spots. We had the family room (2 double beds plus 1 single bed) with shared bathroom. The bathrooms and showers were surprisingly very clean and neat. So using shared facilities was no inconvenience at all for this short stay (and this comes from someone who avoids having to stay in dorms or shared bathrooms at all cost!). We had stayed at the same hotel a week earlier in the too floor room with private attached bathroom and that bathroom was very stinky and mouldy (I made another review separately). So I actually preferred the shared bathrooms! The bedroom itself is clean and comfy but I would like to have more furniture to place and keep things or hang clothes. There is no wardrobe, no night table. Only beds, a sofa, 2 chairs and 2 wall hooks. For a 5-pax bedroom this is not enough. All our things were lying on the floor which is very messy. Also the walls are not soundproof at all. I heard all the noise from the streets and corridors at night. But otherwise staff are very friendly and helpful. I hope they improve the facilities, then it will be a very good accommodation!

NetherlandsI initially lost the key for my locker, and replacement would've cost 5000 yen. I felt like this price was a bit excessive, for just copying a key. I stayed around new years, and the cafe was closed for the duration of my stay, but I wasn't told beforehand.
The beds and facilities were great, no complains. I also met some other travelers, which made my stay great.

JapanThe bathroom didn't seem to have good drainage. It stunck though it seems to have been cleaned well. It may be a matter of taste. A plastic tub replicating old European ones dud not thrill me. But then again some say find it cute
It had everything we needed. Minimal but spacious and relaxing. Staff were helpful and accomodating.

GermanyDorm room was quite cramped and the breakfast too small
A hostel in western style with nice interior. The dorm room was quite cramped though. Almost no space to access my luggage except when you take it into the common room. I had some really nice encounters with other travellers and the staff was always kind. Since I booked breakfast, the price went up a lot so next time I wouldn't choose it. All in all I really had a nice stay and would come again!

SingaporeThe fridge is literally full and smells through my stay. I don't see indication of anyone removing anything or name tags either. It is either hogged by regular guests or simply not maintained. Thus, I didn't get a chance to use the fridge (I wouldn't too, given the smell)! Female toilet was right in front of a Male dorm. No access pass was needed to enter the toilets. For safety, be alert.
Conveniently located towards the end of the Makishi public market. 10 to 15 mins walk out to the busy tourist street of Kokusai. Cheap bentos and food along the market corridor (a few right opposite the hostel). Full shower facilities provided including towel.

United StatesThis is a great place to stay right in the shopping district of Naha. Super convenient location. I expected this place to be busy or noisy but all the guests are very quiet and respectful. That might be Japanese culture. In any event, the place is well decorated and clean. Plus it is very affordable. Highly recommended if you are traveling on a budget.

SingaporeI would love to give it a perfect rating. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There’s a lot of good facilities and the common toilets were clean as of usual Japanese standards. The food was good too. The interior is pleasant and calming. And kids enjoyed playing with the toys provided and the “secret” room/corner. Our family room was also very big, with 3 rooms actually, 2 super-single beds and 2 futons beds, and a spacious living room. So everything was fine, EXCEPT my ultimate turn-off: BLACK MOLD: very bad black mold on the walls AND floors, including the pungent smell that result from it in our en-suite bathroom. I couldn’t stand going to the toilet and taking a shower. It made me sick and I hated it. I could even do with the half-working shower head (which I didn’t manage to turn on properly), but the extreme bad odour and black mold, that to me is a BIG NO-NO. I will not recommend it nor would I wanna stay another night there only because of this. I sent feedback to the management and they said they would do something about it.
