I didn’t except a such nice inn, everything is in its right place, you can feel the importance of details when the house has been renovated. The host is one of the most friendly and attentive I've ever met, from the first message to arrival, taking care to introduce guests to each other to create a warm atmosphere. Kirishima is well located, with Sakurajima volcano to the south and Kinkowan National Park to the north, so there are plenty of activities to do in the area. I highly recommend this inn, one of my best experiences of my trip to Kyushu !

It’s a little far from the station.

A very nice guesthouse with warm and welcoming host. The house is small but beautiful. The room was large and excellent. The host is very thoughtful and caring and speaks great English. It’s not far by bus to the national park which is beautiful. I had a restful stay and would come back again.

Yuki was a wonderful host and there were just the right amount of amenities for a comfortable stay. I traveled here with my 7 year old son, and he liked the tatami room and the foot onsen, as well as the bath indoors too. Thank you!

5 stars for everything Yuki’s Guesthouse was the perfect place to stay for us. It was very relaxing, and the house was convenient and clean. Yuki had renovated his grandmothers house with good taste, it was modern but with tradition. It was nice to sink feet into the onsen water foot bath on the deck after walking around the peaceful surroundings. Yuki gave us also good information about area and was very kind as a host. We enjoyed our visits to the Youyu-an Onsen and Noah’s Coffee House where you can drink coffee grown in the Kirishima area. We could have stayed longer! Greetings from two Finnish ladies

Yuki's guesthouse was one of the best surprises in my travels. If you want to experience Japan for real, this is the place for you. Yuki's neighborhood is as local as it gets, and the house itself is as Japanese as it gets, in the best way possible.

Very friendly host, very nice house, well organised and super clean. I really loved my stay, very quiet during the night. The restaurant almost in front of the house is excellent for dinner.

Really nice guesthouse with all the facilities you need. The inside felt newly renovated, but was still traditional style with tatami floor and futon. The host was very polite and gave me an introduction of the entire place in good english. I am actually kind of sad that I only got to stay there for a single night to catch the airport bus in the morning

Staying a Yuki-san’s place was a highlight of our time in Japan. The room was comfortable and spacious, the outdoor footbath was amazing, the house was very clean and well-maintained, and Yuki-san was so kind, even going out of his way to help us with a local car rental. And Yuki-san’s cat is super shy but very cute.

Yuki san is such a super host~ everything in his home is so tidy and clean and comfortable~~ I love his cat, Mugi~ although she is a true scaredy cat… lol The house also has onsen too~ I really enjoyed my stay~

Everything was Perfect!

Yuki is a super Host! His guest house is very charming. Very nice room. Great terrace, with private hot spring for foot bath. Iyuki has been extremely helpful for everything. I had a great time at his place!

Yuki-san the owner of the guesthouse is one of the kindest and fun persons I met in Japan. Who cares so much of the well being of his guests. On top of that the guesthouse is so clean and cleaned by him everyday. Whenever you have questions you can ask him and he will help as much as he can. You can enjoy your stay and also if you like you can have nice and interesting talks about many topics with him. I will book this place at my next stay in Kagoshima again. 11 out of 10! Exceeded my expectations by far (:

Yuki was a wonderful host and the house was comfortable and very clean. It was a brilliant glimpse into Japanese life and our evening conversation was one to remember! A generous, loving host and a great trip overall. A tip for future travellers: make sure you have a car rental in Kirishima! You can’t hike otherwise.

A very comfortable true local experience in a quaint and charming little home stay run by an amazing host. The home stay is quite far away from things, but this will enhance the feeling that you are living like a local Japanese. Especially when you sit outside to enjoy the foot bath in the evening while maybe enjoying a shochu or two. Yuki is extremely kind and generous and a delight to talk too. Excellent experience overall. A small note: it is a small home stay, so be careful not to experience a hotel-like service and environment.
