Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

check in time being a bit too late in the day at 3 pm,, a tad disadvantageous if you arrived in japan at 6 am so plan accordingly
quiet and simple, all of the necessities are taken care of, staff was helpful enough to let me leave my baggage while i wait for the check in time

It was quite expensive for what offered, the room was really small with poor lights. Bed and furniture were placed without any criteria, therefore the already limited space felt even smaller.
The location is great, the staff was nice.

Price was very high, even for Tokyo (but I guess it was just an expensive time)

Very convenient location, literally just across the street from Asakusabashi station in which opens up access to many other spots around Tokyo. Restaurants, pharmacies and convenience stores all very close by within walking distance!

The room was quite small. But it is understandable because the property price in tokyo. But for only a place to rest, it is quite enough, we did whole day activity outside so it doesn't too bother us.
location is superb. It is located near JR station, and there are many convenience store near the hotel.

The location is super convenient, there are direct trains to both airports as well as an easy connection to Akihabara where you can switch lines to get most places in Tokyo.

Can’t really fault anything about my experience.
I booked this place last minute as my other accom. got cancelled. They were great. Hospitable and responsive. Umbrellas to borrow on rain day and close enough to the station.

There was everything needed for a short stay. The cold glasses in the fridge melted my heart :) top location, close to the subway station. Nice area with good choice of places to eat and shop.

The room was very small which we knew but there was a dead space, for 2 people with big luggage is not ideal. Also they didn't let us leave our things in the luggage storage after check out. We booked that hotel because of the location, it was convenient to go to the airport but we had to pay extra money to find a storage place.
The shower was nice and it was clean

I arrived post hotel check in time and was worried that there will be no staff available. Thankfully the hotel responded to my request and a staff was able to check in for me smoothly. Also to the male staff on duty during midnight 17th April (I didn’t get a chance to have his name), I would like to thank him for kindly lending me a charger.

The checkout staff was extremely rude because, while it makes sense that we had to check out as scheduled, she knocked and told me that I only had one minute to do so or else she would charge me 1000 yen. I asked for five more minutes to finish packing, but she was so rude that she repeated what she said, so I hurried to check out and ended up forgetting my travel pillow in the room 😤. I also asked if I could leave my bags at the counter because I had a few hours before my flight, but she refused, claiming that it was full even though there was only one luggage in the lobby keeping area. My friend had the same thing, so we had to search for baggage storage, which made the checkout process uncomfortable.
