How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Housekeeping starts at 9:30 am so that's pretty early that you have to leave the room. And sometimes the cleaning is ongoing until 4+ pm, so it's a little hard to plan breaks or when to return to the hotel.
Larger rooms for this price point compared to a lot of other locations in Tokyo. I like the dining table setup which allows room for eating, laying out your things, etc. The location was pretty central without being in a crowded area. Very near 2 subway stops and at least 3 konbinis

Nothing really
Good location near metro station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was of good size and with good facilities. We were staying at a family apartment and the room is big enough for us and our two adolescent boys. Our room had a washing machine which was a plus in the summer days. We washed everyday and brought fresh clothes home!

The hallways was too hot because of the ac system (summer time).
It’s very clean, room a little small, but manageable. Shower was top! 711 next to property. Well connected to the subway system.

size of the apartment was perfect. washer/dryer in the apartment was very helpful and convenient. 2 full bathrooms was also of great use. staff was very helpful and friendly. beds were comfortable. showers were clean and big.

Since the moment we arrived, Jojo from front desk showed my son a puzzle he could solve so he could win some prizes. She was really kind and answered also to all my questions. The room was clean, big enough to fit 2 adults and 1 kid (even fit 4 people) and has a really good position between 2 subway stations. All in all, I do recommend Mimaru Tokyo East for your stay in Tokyo. You will not regret it!

The space was a bit tight for Western standards.
The MIMARU Tokyo Station East hotel is a very clean, modern apartment hotel near Tokyo Station East. We stayed one night at the sister location Mimaru Hachabori which had a much more spacious room. The suite at Tokyo Station was still nice-- though everything very compact. There was a twin bunk bed for our two kids and a separate room with two twin beds for us adults. Everything was very clean. We didn't end up cooking but stored some fruit and yogurt in the little kitchen. The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes, plates, and utensils as well as pots and pans. I enjoyed having a tea pot for tea and coffee in the morning.

Location is fantastic. Staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Mins walk to Hatchobori Station and 15mins walk to Tokyo Station. 7 Eleven right at your doorsteps and very convenient if you need a quick bite.

Only a slight negative was the location - it was nice and quiet and easy to get around with station very close, but not many food places nearby on the weekend as it is in an office area. Fine for us as only there two nights, but if you stayed longer it may be an issue if you want to eat close by.
Lovely room, spacious and well set up for a family. A combini downstairs which was great, we also ordered Uber Eats which was easy. Staff excellent - gave us tips on food to try in the area, and very thorough with the information about amenities which was appreciated as we didn’t get this at MIMARU in Kyoto.

While it’s close to two stations, these are only serviced by the Hibiya Metro and JR Keiyo lines, which means you’ll almost always be making a transit stop somewhere else.
Very spacious rooms, the kitchen/living/dining area was so handy for preparing meals, huge bathrooms by Japan standards. Clean property, friendly staff.

To be asked for 5000 yen for an early check-in when arriving at 1:30pm (while normal check-in time was 3pm). Room was ready and available, I found it very penny-pinching and not at all customer friendly…

Corridors were often dirty and the lift is very slow, if you are on a low floor the lift is continually full and goes past to the higher floors without stopping in either direction.

The feather pillows.
The location and staff were super friendly and helpful. Spacious for 4 adults and very clean. Bonus having a coin laundry on the 2nd floor and only Y300 which includes detergent added. A 7-11 convenience store downstairs, near the entrance which was great! About a 20 min. walk to the Tokyo Station.

Neighborhood is not very interesting. Hard to find interesting breakfast/coffee options without a long walk.
