Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoWhile close to some Metro stations and combini stores, it is a bit further away from main Ginza area and Tokyo station than we expected. Also not many interesting restaurants and shops in the surrounding area.
Usual Mimaru standards. Friendly staff, clean room.

United KingdomCan't think of anyhting!
We stayed in the Pokemon room mainly for our children, but personally I also loved it. Even the plates were the colours of pokeballs! Needless to say, the kids loved it and the giant Snorlax. It's very well located, very close to Ginza and Tokyo station.

CanadaNo complaints at all!
We stayed in the Pokemon Room and it was a dream come true for our kids. This by far was the most comfortable hotel we stayed at in Tokyo. Having the convenience of a local grocery store across the street and surrounded by konbini's made it so easy for our family to "grab and go" everything we needed. Overall location was so accessible, room was spacious, service and staff also fantastic. Would definitely recommend and come back here for future visits!

United StatesRooms are on a cleaning schedule, so you do not get rooms made up daily. But this was a minor inconvenience.
The location was fantastic. It was in a quieter part of Ginza so you didn’t feel stressed by crowds all day. Across the street is a produce grocer, so we had fresh fruit daily.

IsraelOne small downside was that we weren’t allowed to check in before 3:00 PM, even though our room was already ready — that was a bit disappointing after a long journey. Also, the price is quite high (over $400 per night), although perhaps that’s standard for Tokyo.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, well-organized, and surprisingly quiet, which made for a very relaxing experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available when we needed anything.

United StatesWe got the Pokemon room and our 8-year old loved it. The room was very spacious, much larger than other rooms in Tokyo. There was a small kitchenette and bunk beds for the kids.

CanadaWould consider staying somewhere closer to the heart of Ginza's shops/restaurants next time.
We were really happy with our 9 day stay at Mimaru Ginza East. The staff was always so kind and helpful. It was super clean and welcoming. The walk to the main shopping area in Ginza is about 12 mins so if you have smaller kids, be prepared for that. The room was bright and clean with very comfy beds. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Review the cleaning services schedule on their website. Closest station is about an 8 minute walk. Once we checked out on our last day, we were able to leave our bags at reception for a few hours for free until our airport van picked us up which was really helpful. Really pleased with our stay, a perfect apartment-style hotel.

United StatesThis hotel was perfect for our family of four. The bonk bed room was wonderful with plenty of room for us and our luggage. We sat at the table often to catch up for the day or eat snacks. Staff were always nice and helpful! The location was nice and quiet but with plenty of options for dinner and close proximity to a 711. Also close to the train stations and 10 min walk from Tokyo station. Would stay here again!

AustraliaThe rooms opened to an open corridor. Cold during winter when you need to access the other parts of the property
Location was good. A great fruit and veg shop just across the road and easy access to kombinis and restaurants. Maybe 15 minutes to the closest subway. Good for walking access to Ginza shopping and Tokyo Station is about 20 mins walk. Friendly and helpful staff. It was cool to have a wall of recommendations for nearby cafes and restaurants. Very handy. Mimaru is clean, spacious and with a kitchenette, it is an excellent choice for families. Mimaru properties will always be our first choice if available in the location we need,

This hotel is close to multiple subway lines, lots of convenient store around, and it is walkable to the busy ginza strip. Clean towels were provided daily, and the laundry room makes it very convenient for families. Beds are also super comfortable, but pillows can be better.
