We almost always want to pay less for things and this hotel stay was no exception. Maybe a good value for Tokyo, I don’t know, but definitely pricey.

Friendly front desk staff all spoke English and were very helpful, rooms were clean and spacious, A/C worked well and we sure needed it, location excellent for Ueno park and public transport.

Ueno was great for our family for four! A 5-7 minute walk to the station, and we had a spacious room for our family. The front desk is english speaking with 5 star hospitality. The facilities are unmatched for a family. We were so comfortable with our large room, seating area, kitchen area and toilet room and shower. 7-11 and Lawson's were close by for snacks and easy breakfast. We made coffee in our room with our electric kettle. I would stay here again and again and again. Loved it! Thank you, Mimaru Ueno North!

We stayed 14 days, and had a few mishaps. Room cleaning missed us two times during this period and when we arrived, the room had a very strange smell. Staff was quick to accommodate us with a new room however. Rooms had somewhat sparse interior.Beds are hard.

The staff was great, the location was great and our family really enjoyed the stay. We had a family room with bunk beds for the kids. Great with separate toilet and shower room. Great with a proper place to sit after a full day out and about. Would absolutely stay here again.

The room was sufficient for my family of 6 and the staff was very nice and helpful. There was kids playing area at the reception. It’s near to Ueno station which helped in our commute.

Internet connection (Wifi) during 10 days of staying in the hotel was not good. It may cause from the location of the room is far from router wifi? I used to stay in another room in this hotel but internet was always good.

All was fine this time, no more smells.

Repeat visitor due to convenience of location. Check in was hassle free, as with the luggage delivery. Size of rooms were great, next to laundry.

We arrived at 12 PM on the middle of a heat stroke with two children and sat on lobby to regroup before finding somewhere to have lunch. It seemed that the priority of the first reception staff member we met was to get us out of the lobby into the extreme heat until it were our time to check-in. This was the only incident with the hotel.

The rooms are amazing on size, distribution and design.

We had no view outside, our window was a safety exit that faced a wall. They do have large Japanese screens covering as a window feature but if you like to see outside perhaps make sure you book a train view room as you can feel a bit trapped. It was like having an inside cabin on a ship. We were out all day so it didn’t bother us in the end but wish we knew before we booked so we could have made that choice. You also need to step up into the toilet & shower rooms if you have accessibility needs.

The location is amazing, so close to the station, Ueno park, shopping, restaurants, convenience stores & good coffee. Rooms are large, we had two single beds, bunk, seating area & kitchenette we only used the fridge. We liked that are room got serviced each day. Beds every 2nd day. The staff are lovely & they have good options of places to eat & things to rent. Ueno station is a major access point with JR Rail, Metro & Airport Express making it easy to explore Tokyo.

We also stayed in another Mimaru and in general everything in the other one felt a bit newer and cleaner.

The size of the room as well as the view of the train tracks was great. Location also pretty good. With young kids we prefer staying in the Ueno area.

There isn’t much in the immediate area to do, but only a 10 minute walk to the action.

Huge room, lovely amenities and plenty of space to sleep and relax. Laundry on site. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, would stay again.

Excellent room for a family with kitchenette and great bunk beds for kids. The staff were very helpful and the location was perfect for exploring Tokyo - on the Yamanote line. It has a laundry to do washing too.

Amazing experience at this hotel. Close walk to the steer markers and the beautiful Ueno park. Laundry facilities were great for our family. Hotel room was beautiful and spacious.

It was at a great location! Staff amazing and services fantastic too. Rooms big enough for a family of 4 with 2 big suitcases and 4 carry on. Rooms always cleaned beautifully.

Spacious rooms perfect for family of 4. Close to the heart of Ueno and to subway lines.

Really friendly staff. Lots of helpful advice and useful tips. Super comfy beds. They made a special effort for my husbands 40th and gave him a really special personal gift. Brilliant location. Loved Ueno.
