How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The restaurants in the area outside the property were of variable quality. We ended up eating at the restaurants at the Tobu department store.

Verified reviewGood facilities provided (booked gaming room). Plenty of space to sort our luggage after every shopping trip (we opened 3 big luggage simultaneously). AC, microwave, kitchen stove, fridge were sufficient for our needs as we wanted to cook. Kitchen utensils also provided in the room. Pajamas, toothbrush and other goods can be requested at the main desk. Nearest station is about an 8 minute walk with multiple stores to along the way. Plenty of restaurants nearby and convenience stores to stock up on snacks. There is a supermarket nearby (3 minute walk) for discounted food. Clear and exceptional communication from the staff; they provided us taxi options as we had 10+ luggage to haul back to the airport. Definitely will book again with a group when we return to Tokyo!
Minor complaint: Keyboards could've used a clean as they were quite dusty. Other than that, our stay was excellent!

Verified reviewI like that it was very accommodating and the staff is great. I like the entrance and how you can grab your tea and pjs, then head to your room without waiting in line at the front desk. I like the lounge space with the laundry. For the rooms, I like the bathroom and kitchen areas the best. The living space is very tight. There are not many places to stay with kids in that area so we are satisfied with our stay.
I didn’t realize until I took a closer look that our room was very dusty and it looked like the air purifier and ac unit wasn’t cleaned for years or the filter was never replaced. I should’ve said something but we were hot and tired from our daily activities that we would forget to mention it. During the summer it seemed that AC wasn’t working properly towards the end of our stay and it got pretty hot in our room. I didn’t like that the room lacked storage space it had a tiny closet space but not enough for a family of 4. No drawers or an area to put your shoes. The sofa and futons for the kids were uncomfortable. It’s also a little further from the train station than I would like to be we had to walk through the bars and clubs, people smoking, which wasn’t the greatest environment walking with small kids. I would prefer to be closer to the train station or on the east exit near the shops and restaurants.
