Awesome host, delicious food, great traditional rooms that are very clean

Walls are pretty thin and the shower is pretty old and probably needs a renovation, but still fine to use.

Dinner is included and delicious!

The free meal was wonderful and was just what we needed after a big day of travel and before an even bigger one the next day. Our later arrival was graciously accommodated for and the hosts were so lovely to chat to and went above and beyond to make sure our night (and the night of the other guests) was what we were looking for.

The staff is super friendly and helpfull and the food is very nice and fullfilling! The place is a bit isolated (20min walking from bus stop) but the host will offer to pick you up with her car! And being next to the forest and the river makes a big part of the beauty of this place!

Food served during dinner was sufficient and delicious. The surrounding with waterfalls and Mt Fuji in the background made for a nice morning walk.

There is a chinesse restaurant by the homestay. The food is very good. We had our dinner there every night.They have a shuttle bus which we can rent to pick up from train station and bring us where we want to go. The owners are very kind and helpfull. The location is very close to Taisekiji Temple about 10 minutes walk.

The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. Her English was very good and she explained everything clearly and told us about the area. We had dinner included in our stay which was delicious Chinese food from the restaurant. Also the room and beds were very comfortable. Overall great value for money and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Emily was the most amazing hostess. She went above and beyond to care for our group. Her husband, father and son welcomed us like we were part of the family. The food was delicious too!

We really like the location of this place. It was right next to the Nichiren Shoshu Head Temple, Taisekeji. The owners and their staff were very kind and helpful. We chose the room for 6 people and it was spacious and clean. The restrooms were shared and clean. At night time you can hear the waterfall and stream sound…so relaxing and soothing. It actually gave me deep sleep. On top of that, the air is so crisp, fresh, and clean. The owners own a Chinese restaurant next to the property. And the food there is delicious.

The woman restroom and shower room was remodeled. They were new. And my family really enjoyed using it. However, the men restroom had not been remodel yet. Hopefully, they will remodel the men restroom soon.

The lady was so kind and she provided us with one meal a day. The location was close to Taisekiji temple which was favourable: we walked from hostel to the temple in the dawn. It was refreshing, tranquil and peaceful. Amazing experience.

The overall area was too dark. Entering the room, we had to climb: it is not comfortable if we bring heavy luggage. Around the stairs were too wet and damp. The bed sheet's color should be in white or bright so we could see the cleanness of the room.

One of the friendliest and familiar service we ever had, It is a very cheap Price per night considering the dinner which is included. The free dinner was homemade and delicious!

We loved staying here, the location is a little far off and you should arrange pick-up from Nishi-Fujinomiya station or otherwise take a bus and walk 1.5km. But the fact that it's a little far is a good thing, it's very nice to walk around the there are many interesting places at walking distance. From here is easy to visit Shiraito Falls and Lake Tanuki only one bus way. The views of Fuji-San were spectacular. The guesthouse is very comfortable and clean, the food is delicious and the owners where super friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend of you are looking for a off the beaten path experience!

nice little town, close to shiraito falls and beautiful temples. The room was very big and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and you got towels for free. The food is delicious and the family you’re staying with is very kind. They even brought us to the bus stop as it was raining pretty hard

if you are traveling by car this is a perfect place to base yourself to see the nature around mount fuji. Without a car it is a little harder to get around but there are still multiple sights close enough

I found this homestay looking for a nice place near Mount Fuji at a cheap price, where I could admire the mountain and go on excursions in the surrounding area. I found everything here:) Both the place and the family that runs it are very nice. When you arrive at the station the hostess can pick you up in her car for a very affordable price. It is a very simple guest house with no frills, but it offers everything that the traveler needs, at a very reasonable price. Keep in mind that they also offer one free meal a day, whether lunch or dinner. In this sense, it surprised me. pleasantly, because I told them that I was vegetarian and they made an effort to cook something different and delicious every day, I’m very grateful for that. The accommodation itself has a restaurant with exquisite and carefully prepared dishes. The majestic Fuji is right above, you can see it when you leave the accommodation and walk a few steps, you can take beautiful photos. 20 meters from the rooms there is a very beautiful small waterfall and a stream over which the path runs to Take the bus to visit the town of Fujinomiya, it is located about 15 minutes walk along a beautiful path that runs through a forest and areas of more rural Japan. The bus will leave you in Fujinomiya in about 20 minutes, there you will find the Mount Fuji World Heritage Center, a modern facility where you will learn everything about Mount Fuji. Right next door are some food stalls where they offer the famous Fujinomiya Yakisoba and two steps away is the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine. There is another beautiful excursion to visit Shiraito Falls. there are much more things to do, for example visit some of the Onsen in the area, just ask to your hostess. The accommodation has only been on Booking.com for a very short time, previously they only hosted local people, so they will appreciate your advice to improve the service and its facilities. In short, a great base for visiting Fuji and its surroundings.
