You should really book at this place, exceptional service, nice people, always helpful, everything is clean and tidy, a very pleasant feeling for the experience of a small and spacious Japanese apartment, we will definitely come back again and recommend it to others.

The house itself doesn't have real flaws. The only thing is that one room is on a busy street, and if one is now used to it, it could be a bit noisy.

Very good stay! Closer to Philosophers Walk and if heading to Ohara for the day. The place is spotless!! The owners are also very lovely and inviting. Will be back again soon.

The host was super helpful. He met us early and was happy to look after our baggage before and after our stay. He took the time to explain everything to us. The rooms were large, excellent facilities and space for a family. Loved it and would stay again.

Property was very clean and comfortable, the person in charge even carried all our luggage upstairs eventho they were crazy heavy. Hospitality is top notch, theres literally nothing bad i can say about this property. Close to trains as well, and during out last day with all our luggagw the uner to the station was really affordable. 100% recommend

Excellent location, easily accessible by bus. The staff at the ryokan went above and beyond to assist us, including helping with Kuroneko Yamato shipping documents and even contacting the receiving hotel on our behalf. Their English was great, and they were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. The cleanliness of the ryokan was impeccable. Initially, I was hesitant about sleeping on a tatami mat, but it turned out to be the best sleep I've ever had!"

Location is very convenient, right next to Heian Shrine and the bus station with a quick ride to the subway. There's a laundry across the street open 24/7 as well. Hosts were extremely nice and helpful as well, and the price was well worth it.

Everything is perfect.

The shower is great, the futon is comfortable and the kitchen is useful. The house owner is very gentle, kind, and responsive, satisfied all our needs.

Arguably only thing we would have liked was a booklet with FAQs like how to check out etc but otherwise great.

Host was very helpful and kind. The sleeping mats were surprisingly comfortable. Didn't use it but had a washing machine which was good. The entrance into the area we were in was a curtain but the room lock was secure as well as the bathroom lock so didn't feel like an issue. Good breakfast options nearby. Felt like we had the place to ourself. We were in the two person downstairs bit. No issues with road noise but on the back side of the building. Enough closet space for two large cases.

The entire accomodation is very nice and clean, very convenient within walking distance to many locations and bus stop is across the street. The owner is very kind and welcoming. We loved every day of our stay in Kyoto. The washing machine, bathtub and kitchen utilities are luxury. Very good for a longer stay, or for those travelling in Japan for a longer period of time. There is also nice family restaurant right next door, with delicious homemade soba noodles.

I really loved everything about the facility. The Host gave me many Restaurant recommendations to my special requests. He was very friendly and I enjoyed my stay very much. The facilities give you much freedom. I liked that it had a Kitchen and that I could hang up my clothes on the balcony. I really enjoyed sleeping on the Tatami. What's more is that I could store my Luggage there after checking out respectively I could stay longer /could check out much later because they weren't expecting another guest until the next day. I am very thankful for that. 10/10 I would recommend Mei Wa Inn and I would love to visit again.

Our son did not feel well and despite we were much ahead of time he could stay and rest in the spare room which we appreciate a lot. The place was very clean and the host very nice and helpful.
