Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanThe primary drawbacks of the accommodation were related to the water facilities. The bathroom sink lacked hot water due to the cold pipes during winter, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the shower facilities had limited operating hours, closing at 9 PM, which may not suit all guests' schedules. The shower temperature control was problematic, as attempts to adjust the water temperature by adding cold water resulted in an immediate and drastic temperature drop to ice-cold levels. This issue was likely due to the winter conditions affecting the plumbing system. However, it's worth noting that the water temperature, while hot, was still usable without adjustment.
The hotel's location was exceptional, situated approximately 20 minutes from Dynaland ski and snowboard resort, with convenient access to grocery and convenience stores within a 3-5 minute drive. The winter camping experience in the tents was truly remarkable, offering a unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the snow-covered landscape with my daughters and friend. The staff's exceptional service and attentiveness were particularly noteworthy, as demonstrated by their proactive assistance when my rental car became stuck in the snow-covered parking lot. Their responsiveness via the booking chat platform was commendable, and they efficiently addressed heating issues by promptly replacing faulty equipment. The well-maintained trails leading to each tent enhanced the overall experience, contributing to a memorable stay.

SingaporeWe booked a yurt with shared bathroom (as there's obviously no bathroom in the yurt), but it was a bathroom within a room inside the hotel, that clearly hadn't been cleaned after the last occupants. The other thing I both liked and didn't like was the Mongolian dinner. It was excellent and copious but outrageously expensive for the quantity and ingredients (4500 yens per person, by far the most expensive meal in our 2 weeks in Japan). We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids and they charged us 4 full set meals while I had asked if we could have a different version for the kids. Overall service was disappointing, not warm. Also there was no breakfast option, or even a kettle or tea, nothing was offered despite waking up to a cold and rainy day. Being a family business I would have expected some sort of warmth and nice gesture. Also we thought we'd see horses but it was super empty of animals. Overall with a little more effort it could be much better.
The yurt was really nice

Hong KongThe yurt is old and the door is rotten. The heater is so smelly and automatically stop in few hours, you need to wake up in the midnight to open the door for ventilation. There is no ventilation inside the room so safety is a concern. There is no water supply in the room. The toilet and shower is far away from the room, which is not convenient in a snowy night in winter, especially with your kids. There is only one toilet for 3 yurts and we need to queue for it. Bugs incluidng spiders came from the firewood made the night unsleepable. We have to check all our clothes to avoid bringing any insects home. There is no any mongolian activity provided other than just stay there.
The Mongolia style yurt is a good experience. The owner helped us to clear the snow for our car to leave after a heavy snow night.

TaiwanWe were quite surprised that there was no toilet in the Ger and we need to walk all the way to the center house. During winter time, it is quite a hassle and dangerous to go to the toilet in the middle of the night.
We love the authentic feelings of staying in a Mongolian Ger and the location is so closed to Hirugano Kogen and most of the snow parks.
